Easy, Consistent and Accurate
I’m pleased with my initial results using the VivaGuard wrist blood pressure monitor. It comes with the wrist monitor, an instruction manual, two AAA batteries and a nice cloth carrying bag. I put the wrist monitor to the test by taking three readings under the same conditions and then taking three readings using my trusted and highly regarded Omron 785 arm cuff monitor. Again, all readings taken under the same conditions. I found that all readings were similar and the wrist monitor showed very consistent readings. I have posted a photo of my real time hand written notes for reference. This gives me confidence going forward using the VivaGuard.There are a couple of items worth pointing out. First and foremost follow the directions as close as you can. I found it very important to raise the wrist monitor to your heart level while taking a reading. That’s where I found consistency. Also, place the monitor on the inside of your wrist (as directed in the instructions) or you will have very high and inaccurate readings. I am a little annoyed with the tiny font used in the instruction manual and feel this should be addressed by the manufacturer.All said, I am happy with the VivaGuard Monitor and feel that it is a real value at its current price point of $29.00 and then 20% off from that.

Compact and Handy, But Inconsistent
I really wanted this to work, and I do love how compact it is. It fits perfectly into a small essentials bag I keep with me for health related situations. Unfortunately, I havenât been able to get an accurate or consistent reading with this monitor, even when following the instructions carefully.My blood pressure is usually on the lower side (around 98/65), so when the first reading came in at 167/91 with a heart rate of 72, I was immediately skeptical. The next few readings dropped to 131/65, 125/67, and then 120/70 – all within minutes. The heart rate was consistent, but the blood pressure numbers were all over the place.Itâs just not reliable enough to use for tracking something as important as blood pressure.

Works fine once you get past setup
I work in a medical office so I use a lot of blood pressure cuffs. Iâve been meaning to buy one to use at home to check in a more relaxed setting than work!This BP wrist cuff looks like the others Iâve used and has an easy to read interface with large display numbers. I love that it comes with a little pouch to store it in. It also includes 2 AAA batteries which was a nice surprise!It was almost impossible for me to open the battery compartment due to the location of the wrist apparatus so I would not suggest this if you have a weak grip or poor manual dexterity.Setting up the device was a little confusing. The directions keep mentioning standby mode but do not explain clearly how to get in to standby mode! They said to âkeep pressingâ the key which reads as, press the key repeatedly over and over. What they meant to say is âpress and holdâ. You only need to do this if you want to set the time and date since it will store your previous readings.. not a deal breaker but definitely frustrating after the struggle of getting the battery compartment open!Overall, itâs a functional wrist BP cuff and does the trick for a quick check at home. It seems high quality and that it will last a long time. Keep in mind wrist cuffs will ALWAYS be lower than a manual cuff or an arm cuff so if youâre trying to track precisely, you may want a different product. I would give 3.5/5 if Amazon allowed half stars but rounded up to 4.

Easy to Use and Reliable Machine
Using this blood pressure machine has been a really smooth experience overall. I have used a few different ones in the past, but this one was by far the easiest to use.I like how compact and lightweight it felt when I first took it out of the case, it felt light in my hand but not cheap or flimsy. It looks and feels well made. I don’t think it would break if I dropped it. It came with a bonus storage case which was nice. The case is soft and structured, and I like that it doesnât take up much space in my cabinet.Once the cuff is on it feels soft and flexible. It wraps snug but not tight, then it does the job.I really like the screen. Itâs bright and clear. My vision is not the best, especially without my glasses and I can easily see the numbers, even in dim light on this machine.I noticed the green, yellow, or red backlight changes depending on the reading, which I think helps me understand what Iâm looking at without having to guess.The buttons are simple, and I havenât had to fumble with anything.The first time I used it I felt like it gave me a reading fast, and every time since then itâs been consistent. I like seeing the little symbols pop up, there is one for heartbeat that blinked a bit during the test which means itâs working. I like that it can alert you to anything irregular.I havenât had any problems with it so far. I think it works well for what I was looking for.It doesnât feel overwhelming or too technical. and I like that I can store my past readings, though I havenât gotten into that part too much yet.For now itâs been easy to use, feels comfortable, and gives me results I can actually read without squinting. Iâll keep using it & see how it goes long term. It is a good price for a good item.
