Saved my hair. Started working at about 3 months.
I have long hair that began falling out a lot, looking thin and stringy and growing very slowly. There were no obvious balding spots, just diffuse fall all over. My hair pattern did not look like the picture on the box. I tried shampoos, Viviscal, essential oils and my hair just kept falling out. I was afraid to try Rogaine since it can cause more hair loss and also since it requires a lifetime commitment. Finally, I gave in. It kept falling out a lot until after about 3 months, one morning when I washed my hair only a few hairs came out of my head. Now I have lots of growth all over and my hair looks good again. I don’t think it is as thick as it was but it feels good and looks good. I have started using Rogaine for men that I purchased at Costco because of the price. Women are charged at least twice as much because the dosage for men is 2 times a day and the price is actually lower per dose. It’s the exact same ingredients.My application process:This takes me 10-15 minutes, every day. I wash my hair every other day and apply in the morning. It is easier to apply when it’s wet because it is easier to part my hair. I start by parting my hair in the middle. I have a hand-held mirror and while holding it to see the back of my head, I use a comb to part my hair in the back of my head. I have 4 hair clips ready to hold my hair in place. I clip them to my shirt near my shoulder so I can grab them without looking and clip my hair in place to hold the part. I use the comb to find the part, put it down while still holding the mirror and grab a clip and secure the hair. Then I put some Rogaine on my finger and start applying to the part. I repeat this parting my hair 3-4 times on each side of my head. After, if it is wet from washing, I apply some hair products and blow dry.Pros:* Hair stopped falling out after 3 months* After 4 months I can see lots of new growth all over* Hair looks healthier in general, like it did before it all started falling outCons:* I have some unwanted extra hair growth on my neck even though I don’t get the product anywhere near my neck. I wax and/or shave the hair because no woman should have hair growing all over her neck. Still, I’d rather remove that hair and have nice hair on my head.* It is a significant increase in my morning routine – every day. I spend 10-15 minutes applying the foam.* Cost can be high and the women’s version fluctuates quite a lot. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your perspective), Rogaine foam for men is at least half the cost and is the exact same product. I buy it at Costco and it is a great deal with the same results.

Okay, this actually works!! I was skeptical going into this, but am starting to see results after only 6 weeks. I’m amazed!!! I’m in my late forties and began losing my hair in my mid- thirties. I tried a generic form of rogaine at that time and found the process tedious and time consuming. I gave up without seeing any results. After reading reviews of this product, I likely didn’t give it enough time to work. I find the foam is much easier to apply than the liquid and only having to do one application per day makes it far easier to stick with. I apply to clean, dry hair an hour before bed and find that my hair feels thicker and is easier to style in the morning! You really only need a quarter capful of foam, so i suspect this supply will last longer than four months. Initially I experienced a ton of hairloss- which was upsetting. Then I noticed little hairs growing along my hairline about 3 weeks later. My part also appears more filled in! I’m really excited to see what happens after finishing the full four month supply! I have included pics from prior to first application and how my hair looks after six weeks. For anyone on the fence, I recommend giving this a shot… you have nothing to lose and hair to gain!! 🙂

2 months in and my hair is starting to grow back
I’m 35 and over the past several years I’ve noticed that on the top of my head, from temple to temple and starting at my hairline and going back a few inches, my hair is getting thinner and thinner. In fact in many spots it’s so thin you can’t even tell there’s a hair there at all, and in other spots there’s a follicle that looks empty, as if the hair just stopped growing back.I’ll be honest, I still do not know the root cause of my hair loss. I do have some family history, and I have been tested for the common reasons like hypothyroidism, which has been ruled out as a cause. I’m an otherwise healthy person. I haven’t pursued it much further and I recognize that the Rogaine instructions advise you not to use it unless you know the cause of your hair loss, so I’m breaking the rules a bit.I tried a number of home remedies to get it to grow back first, castor oil recipes for example, and while those made my existing hair stronger and made my scalp feel healthier, it was doing nothing to restore hair growth to dead follicles or making my thin hair thicker. So, I decided to try Rogaine based on its reputation and the number of positive reviews.I’ve been using this for about 2 months now, so nowhere near the recommended length of time that Rogaine advises before you may see regrowth. In those two months I’ve been extremely diligent about using it once per day, save a few days where I was traveling. I very quickly noticed that right along my hairline, new little hairs are beginning to grow. The hairs that are growing back appear strong and normal, not super fine. I’d say I noticed those hairs growing within 3 weeks of starting use. As for the areas further back on my hairline where my bald patches are even worse, those are taking a bit longer for me to notice a difference. There are definitely some spots where I see hair beginning to grow back, but those patches are being a bit more stubborn. I have confidence that perhaps these are the areas where I won’t see noticeable results until many more months, as the Rogaine instructions are very upfront about.Overall, I’ll definitely continue using this product. I am already noticing hair regrowth and I’m hopeful that the stubborn areas will also grow in given more time. The product hasn’t caused any burning or irritation on my scalp. It’s fairly easy to apply, though I do need to keep a few ice cubes handy during the process as the instructions advise, because your natural body temperature will cause the foam to immediately start to fizzle away if your fingers aren’t cold. No regrets here, it definitely has me feeling better as if there is some hope to restore my once thick hair.
