This DVD is about the amazing “Curtiss SB2C Helldiver”. This plane was the replacement to the Douglas SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber. Hated at first, it was known as the “Beast” to many, but after the bugs were worked out, the plane became effective in the fleet.
1st Film: “Flying the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver”. This is a great film created by USN about how to fly the Curtiss SB2C Helldiver. The plane is put through it’s passes. Start-ups, Bomb load types, flying, takeoffs and landings, stalls, and of course, Diving!. Amazing. 32.23 Min’s

5th Film: “Dive Bombing”. He forgot to check his Altimeter!. This is a very RARE Navy cartoon from the series “Grandpaw Pettibone; GRIPES”. There were only 19 cartoons ever made during WW2 and this one is about a SB2C pilot making a big mistake. RIP! Runtime 4:31 min’s
