I bought the Ulike IPL device (the black version designed for men), and Iâve been genuinely impressed with the results. The design is sleek and comfortable to hold, and the treatments are quick and painless. My first device had a lens issue, and they replaced it without any hassle. First I would like to point out that this company has an excellent customer support. They follow up with every buyer providing useful instructions and help troubleshoot problems if any.As I said, it will work for some people, it does reduce hair. But again, I tried for a month and after that went to the professional laser hair removal with just 40-50 minute session (just ONE) I got the results that I would estimate take half a year of recommended every other day sessions with IPL (it does consume a lot of time). And the laser was totally painless compared to what you get with this product. Will not say pain is unbearable, totally tolerable. Just point that laser is painless compared to it.The price of Ulike is $400, cost of one full body session with laser near New York City $450. I will not be attaching pictures of laser hair removal since it might be taken as advertisement for this product.So it’s not a budget solution, considering the amount of time to be spent (you must shave before each session, don’t forget), also pain. Cost of laser hair removal is highly exaggerated.Even the current sale for $300 doesn’t make it much better. I would rather spend $1500 for two years of being hair free hours with professional laser solution. Just think about 500 â 800 hours (2hrs: shave/IPL every other day) with Ulike. If you spend that time doing overtime at work, cost of professional laser treatment is easily justified.But do your research about professional laser hair removal, and don’t get caught in the money extortion schemes that some spas employ.UPDATE:I am attempting to use IPL this particular device in between laser sessions. I am starting now and will keep you posted on the progress.

Broke after 20 minutes
First time I used it it stopped after 20 minutes and that was it. Thankfully, it did it right away instead of doing it after the 30 days. Their 30 day policy is really crap. Letâs face it most electronics that are breakable donât break in the first 30 days. They need to do something about their policy.

Ulike X vx Air 10 model
I have been using the Ulike X for two weeks now and I have been able to see a slight difference. I originally had bought the Air10 model and even though I saw a slight hair reduction I was having problems in targeting the areas that have thicker and darker hair. With the Ulike X these areas are easier treat, but it does come with a slighter increase in the pain level. I still believe that the Ulike X is worth it and a lot cheaper than going to a place to get laser hair removal.

To be honest this actually works. I did half of my body as a test and there was such a legitimate difference. The max setting feels like a true in-office treatment and this significantly lightening my freckles as well.

Iâve had this unit for about 6 months and I couldnât not be happier with the results! My entire body is hair free and now the follow up treatments are completely painless! The cooling technology is a game changer. I had previously purchased a different brand they did not have this feature and Iâm burnt my skin! The Ulike X has never caused any burns.

I am very pale with light golden brown to very dark brown/black hair, depending on area.Areas treated: armpits and face peach fuzzI have been using this for 2 weeks, every other day, a total of 8 sessions so far. The first two sessions I did on fast, then medium power, to test my tolerance. The next 6 were on high power. The first 5 sessions were 1 pass with the device over each area. The last 3 sessions were done with 3 passes over each area.The face peach fuzz, which I thought would be a problem as it isn’t very dark at all, doesn’t seem to grow back already. I am still going over it with the ulike every other day, but I don’t need to shave it anymore. I have been shaving it off for years to help with skincare, and it usually starts to be fuzzy in 3-4 days, but it hasn’t been coming back at all now.My armpits have very coarse, dark hair. Growth is very fast, stubble the next day after shaving. I do think it is slightly slower to grow and a little more sparse, but I’m not sure about that. The biggest difference I have noticed is how easy it is to shave. The razor doesn’t drag and catch on the hairs anymore. It just glides over and cuts the hairs off. This has drastically improved the irritation I used to get, I get no razor bumps or ingrowns, and that’s shaving them every other day, which would have left them raw and on fire before. I’m hopeful that I will see more changes in the next few weeks, and I will update at that time.The device itself is easy and comfortable to use, and practically painless. Most of the time I feel nothing at all, but occasionally I’ll get a bit of a pinch/rubber band snap feeling, almost like a static shock. The window you press on the skin really is icy cold to the touch, and even as the device gets warmer, that part never does. The part you hold in your hand gets quite warm, but not hot at all. The cooling fans blow gentle warm air too, but nothing uncomfortable.The safety glasses are very dark, and since I can’t wear my regular glasses with them, I’m pretty much working blind. This isn’t really a problem though, you just have to glide the device over the skin and you don’t need to see much for that.So far, results are a big improvement and I’m excited to see how it progresses with more uses! I will update.

2 weeks in so far and it seems like itâs really working! I have been doing it every 2nd day on the highest power setting with no discomfort (the ice cooling seems to work well). My chest and abs have really responded to the treatment quickly. The device is straight forward and easy to use. I would say depending on the body part you are using this on it can be a time commitment (I can get my chest and abs in under 30 min but legs take significantly longer). So far I can say I am pleased with the device.

As reported by many users online, they are having issues with the skin sensor. In my case, it detect skin even if the device is not touching anything and keep flashing. For some, it doesnât detect anything and do not flash at all. I wouldnât buy until they fix this major issue. Otherwise it look like a great product.
