Love this entire product
Iâve used this dog food since it came out. Up until this purchase Iâd been buying from the brands website as you got a much better price and bigger amount. Alas I ran out so I purchased from Amazon to get a bag sooner.Iâve respected and loved Katherine Heigl and her beliefs when it comes to animals and her pets. Iâve always been concerned about where ingredients in my dog food and treats come from. I will only buy if itâs an American brand and sourced from America. After following her for a long time on Instagram, I trust Heigl and knew I could purchase something incredibly healthy for my 2 dogs from someone who loves her animals just like me. There are some dog food/treats that are shady and not upfront about where the ingredients truly come from that Iâve had to actually contact, yes, contact, the brand because the bag has said you can contact them for sourcing countries, they wonât list on the bags. It will say itâs made in the USA, but the ingredients are coming from places like China or other Asian countries where animals have even less rights than here in the states. Thatâs been a huge eye opener for how shady some of these companies can be. I trust Heiglâs doing whatâs best as a pet Mom and looking out for other pet Moms, like myself.The only downside of this brand is the price in relation to quantity, BUT, but I totally understand for good product with good ingredients it can cost more. Also keep in mind that the portions are smaller than your average dog food. READ the directions! As consumers I think weâve become complacent about the price of a bag of dog food and forgotten that a lot of food out there relies heavily on grains and corn to fill our pets bellies. For those reasons I was okay paying a bit more for a well researched, developed and nutritious additive. I figure for a food thatâs helping their bodies and minds, itâs still cheaper than an out of the blue vet bill.As I said, I have 2 dogs, one is 15 lbs and the other 24 lbs and this is a wonderful product. Iâve always been on the hunt for a founder and brand just like this! Iâm going to be purchasing the food topper sold as well and introduce some of that, as directed, as both of my boys are approaching 14 years old. I highly, highly recommend making the transition and either feeding your dogs solely this product or mixing with dog food youâve vetted as being made and sourced from places where dogs are loved and respected. Both of my boys are seniors but neither act like it and I know itâs because Iâve always done the best I could for them.Katherine- if for whatever reason you or your marketing read this, please look into dental treats for tartar and plaque. The brand I was using is now being made in Vietnam and thatâs a no-go for me.

Our 8 year old Yorkie has been enjoying Badlands Ranch Superfood Chicken Flavor for the past 2 years and we couldn’t be happier with the results! I was just watching her eat and thought, what a great product. I should write a review! As our little girl ages, weâve noticed her teeth have become more sensitive, making it essential to find a food that she can enjoy without discomfort. This product has been a game changer for us.First and foremost, the texture of the food is perfect for her. Itâs soft enough for her to bite and chew comfortably, yet still has a satisfying consistency that encourages her to chew rather than gulp. She seems to really enjoy the taste, which is a huge plus! Every mealtime feels like a treat for her, and itâs been great to see her enthusiasm for her food again. We also give her Dr Martyâs but she will always go for the Badlands first.Moreover, I love that this superfood blend is packed with quality ingredients. Knowing that sheâs getting a nutritious meal that supports her health, especially at her age, gives me peace of mind as the guardian of my little bestie. The chicken flavor is clearly a hit, as she eagerly waits for her bowl and even dances a little when she sees me preparing her food! We do sometimes buy the beef flavor for a change of pace.We’ve also noticed some positive changes in her overall vitality since we started feeding her Badlands Ranch. She seems more energetic and playful, which we truly appreciate.My experience leads me to say that we feel Badlands Ranch Superfood Chicken Flavor is an outstanding choice for older dogs, particularly those with sensitive teeth (this is hard dog food). Great for your dog. My recommendation is use as a topper!!!
This food my dogs absolutely LOVE. it is quite hard food so if your dog is older or is having trouble with teeth just be aware. I wish this bag was bigger at 43 dollars for 24 ounces its ALOT of money for a small bag but i believe its worth it. I have 2 big dogs so I use it as a topper as I give them blue buffalo but I find kibble has given my dogs some trouble and im hoping adding this food will help them all around. I would love to just use this food but its so expensive id have to get a bag every 3 days ð« my dogs love to eat it so I will continue to use it and support badlands ranch. I hope they eventually come out with bags for large dogs at a decent price. ð

Great supplement on top of healthy diet and exercise
My Shiba Inu loves it! The moment I opened the bag, he was all over it. I use it as an additive on his dry food (he doesn’t appreciate it as much on his wet food) and itâs been great. There was an adjustment period, as with any new food, but the fact that he continues to enjoy it means a lot for a picky Shiba. He has no problem with the crunchiness and seems to enjoy the taste. All that said, I wouldnât switch him to a diet of only this food, but in tandem with kibble and wet food, this is a fantastic supplement for sure.

Flavor is the problem.
My dog will not eat it. We have tried everything. I would have given it two stars but it has ingredients in it that are good for dogs. The flavor is the main problem with it.

I am a believer!
I have been amazed at how this has helped Lucy with her bowel problems. She seems happier and perkier since we have begun sprinkling about 1/4 cup on each of her feedings of canned dietary food. We tried another brand of dyhydrated food but it didn’t work as effectively as Badlands.
