Helpful and organized behavior chart
I have been an elementary school teacher since 2000. I made a behavior chart similar to this one in 2005. I used it for a few years and then supposed âexpertsâ did not recommend using these types of behavior charts anymore. Fast forward to 2024! I stated the school year with my First Graders in October instead of August due to taking a leave. My class has many challenges, most of them stemmed from communication difficulties. The students would stand up and walk around every time they wanted to tell me something. They would keep their hands in their desks and peel the paper off of crayons. They would make a mess in the bathroom. There was no accountability. This behavior chart was a huge help!!!! Students are motivated to move their clip up throughout the day. I give students one, two, or three skittles each afternoon, depending on how many times they moved their clip up. This has revolutionized my classroom.
