Smart Display Base: Unlike other thermometers that require an app to function, the P2’s display base provides real-time readings and lets you set temperatures directly on the device. A smart app is also available, giving you the best of both worlds.
Unlimited Range via Wi-Fi: Many wireless thermometers are restricted to Bluetooth to connect your phone with the base, but the ThermoMaven P2 features advanced 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity. This lets you monitor your culinary creations from anywhere.
100% Wireless Freedom: Kiss tangled wires goodbye with the ThermoMaven P2. Roam freely with Bluetooth long-range connectivity, linking seamlessly from the base to the probes.
6-Sensor Accuracy: Equipped with 6 sensors (5 internal and 1 external), the precision of ThermoMaven P2 meat probe is NIST-certified, delivering ±0.5°F accuracy and 0.01°F resolution. You can confidently ensure your food is never undercooked or overcooked.
Two Ultra-Thin Probes: Allows you to monitor time and temperature for two different dishes at once. The ultra-thin design preserves the integrity of your proteins and retains their juices, ensuring perfectly cooked meat every time.
Effortless Cleanup: With a superior IPX8 waterproof rating, the ThermoMaven wireless probes can be safely placed in the dishwasher after use. Enjoy your meal and relax with no hassle!
High-Temp Grilling: Withstands up to 752°F. Safely monitor meat with the probe in place, even during searing.
Charge Once, Cook All Day: Base charges in 2 hours for 24+ hours of continuous use. Probes charge 2 min for 2 hours work. Perfect your cooking every time.
Customers say
Customers find the meat thermometer accurate, with the ability to set target temperatures and monitor oven temperatures, while delivering consistent results and being simple to use. They appreciate its wireless features, with one customer noting the base unit’s WiFi signal to the app, and find it essential for grilling and cooking. The connectivity receives mixed feedback – while some report no issues, others mention the probes disconnecting repeatedly. Durability is also mixed, with some finding it well-built while others report units breaking during normal use.

Outstanding Wireless Meat Thermometer
Wow! I have owned 2 versions of a competitors product beginning over 3 years ago. I had problems with connections and the app opening to a tutorial instead of the operations section. The last straw was that the probe in the most recent purchase would not hold a charge. I decided to switch vendors. After researching, I chose the ThermoMaven. I am so glad I did. The app is easier to navigate and is very informative and includes a lot of functionality. Connectivity to the same distance to our outdoor cooking units (3 of them) is flawless. The quality of the product is excellent and the probes are easy to clean. I now spending my BBQ cooking time without troubleshooting connections and instead with much more fun things!

Mostly great, but fragile.**UPDATE**
**UPDATE**Ordered the 4 probe set with base in March, have used it a few times and generally love it. The probes provides accurate temperatures for meat in the oven, in a pan, or on the grill. The base allows you to set all the probes independently and displays temperatures in real time, as well as when to remove and rest for a projected temp. The app is also great and goes even more in depth with specific cook temps for different types and cuts of meat. It also shows the different temperatures at the sensor locations on the probe. My one gripe (and the reason for my initial 3 stars) is that the probes seem pretty fragile. My #1 probe fell from a 3 foot countertop onto a linoleum floor and split like a dry twig on a hot summer day. I’m now left with an incomplete set and am unsure how or even if i can get a replacement, as Amazon offers no way to contact the seller directly.**Update**I did a small amount of leg work online and found a customer support email for Thermomaven. They replied quickly and were kind enough to send me a replacement for the broken probe.I still think the probes may be a bit fragile (I’m not going to purposely test that theory), but I’m raising my review score to 4 1/2 stars for their excellent product (especially for the price) and customer service.

The newer G2 model has much better connectivity now.
Update to the first review postedJanuary 2025After reading my review the company reached out to me to say that they had a newer model which uses a different technology making it more reliable to keep connectivity between the probes and the base. They replaced my old P2 with the G2 model. Since we had just used the old model(P2)) temperature probe in 40-degree temps with our smoker (yes, we use our smoker no matter the season) and found the old model pretty much useless with cold weather, I was willing to give this one a go.We tested the new model in 40-degree temps and stationed the base inside the house. We did not lose connectivity once. To say that we were pretty happy not to have to run out to the smoker and get our temps off the meat numerous times was pretty nice! I have changed my star rating to a 5 because this now offers everything we were originally looking for in a wireless thermometer. I also found the accuracy of the probes themselves to be very accurate like the old model.December 2024This is a pretty slick looking unit with 2 wireless probes which are stored in the unit. The display is easy to read, the alarms are loud and the whole thing is pretty easy to use. The probes are also spot on when it comes to temperature. We use it for our Traeger smoker which is located near our back door and under cover. We were placing the base unit next to the back door inside and the first few times we used it we had no problems with connections to the probes in the smoker no matter where we were and monitoring with our phones and using the app. Lately, we are starting to have connection problems from the probes to the base unit even though no placements have changed. We charged the unit although it did not show it needed it but that did not help. The weather has gotten colder, but not frigid, and we do not know if the colder weather is causing the problem. The connection goes in and out during the entire cook. We have tried different placements of the base unit, even next to the smoker, and cleaned the probes well but the issue persists and some days, it’s better, and sometimes worse. We are not sure why at this point. Good thing we did not get rid of our old standby probe. Connection issues are a problem all around for these wireless probes and we were hoping this would have been better. I guess we will see once it warms up whether the connection gets better to prove the temperature theory. Also, we learned that if you change the ending temperature, everything needs to be “rebooted” to get it to adjust for the new end temperature.

Broken probe
Great Features, but Durability Concerns After 5 MonthsI bought the ThermoMaven P2 in December 2024 and have loved using it in my smoker, grill, and oven over the past few months. The wireless connectivity is a game-changerâbeing able to monitor temperatures through the app while Iâm away from the grill has made cooking so much easier. The accuracy is spot on, and the dual probes are perfect for cooking multiple dishes at once, like during a BBQ or holiday roast. Itâs been a reliable tool for everything from steaks to smoked hams, delivering consistent results every time. However, I ran into a major issue today, May 10, 2025. While pulling the probe out of a pork tenderloin that was cooked in the oven at 375°F, the probe came apart, leaving the internal components exposed. I followed the instructions, ensuring the temperature didnât exceed the 752°F limit, and I inserted it correctly, but it still broke after just 5 months of use. This is disappointing for a product thatâs supposed to be durable and waterproof (IPX8 rated). Iâm not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or if the design canât handle repeated use with thicker cuts of meat, but itâs a big letdown.Iâm reaching out to customer support to see if they can resolve thisâhopefully, itâs covered under warranty. For now, Iâd recommend this thermometer for its features but caution buyers to monitor the probes closely for signs of wear. If youâre cooking large roasts often, you might want to handle the probes with extra care to avoid this issue.

Thermometer with Great Range and Accuracy
This thermometer has made grilling so much easier. Weâve used it on both griddle and grill, and the readings have been spot-on every time. The Bluetooth and WiFi range is solid. We can walk away from the grill and still keep an eye on the temps from our phones. The base is easy to read, the probes feel durable, and setup was quick. Definitely a game-changer if youâre tired of guessing doneness or hovering over the grill.

Easy setup. I cooked four t-bones for the first time with these probes last weekend, each with different styles of cooking: medium rare, 2 medium, well cooked. They were all perfectly cooked, thanks to the precision of the probes and the ease of use of the app. Only little comment: while the font of the characters on the unit are well lit, they look ‘outdated’ compared to other brands….

I have been very impressed with this unit, i’ve been using the meter plus for the past 4 years, but finally my frustrations with it caused me to look for an alternative. So after reading a bunch of reviews, I decided to give this unit a try. And I am 100% satisfied with this unit, first of all it has a base all to itself with 2 probes that do not lose connection With the unit every 5 minutes like the meter plus did. That’s the biggest difference. It has all the features you want and need in a wireless probe. For the price, this unit is as good as it gets.

Easy to use and worked great for Christmas dinner! Never left the house, but never lost connection. I actually forgot I had the turkey in the oven. alarm went off loudly and turkey was done to perfection.

Awesome product , the best Iâve tried and awesome customer service . I had an initial issue with 1 probe dropping out of sync , contacted CS and they dealt with the issue instantly , then I un paired the problem probe and paired it again , itâs been flawless since . I have 2 not 1 different ME4TER products collecting dust because they are useless and problematic so I went with ThermoMaven P2 and Iâd do it again and again
