Many women like the fancy oil applicators with lights and vibration but I found them to be ill engineered or the extra features ineffective. This super simple applicator is great because it is easy to fill, empty or clean. It also gives a very even application. It is also cheap! Who can ask for more?

Good for minoxidil, just okay for oils.
I wanted an easier way to apply minoxidil to my scalp than the dropper it usually comes with. This product actually works pretty well for this purpose. I like how it has measurements and you can squeeze it to make more come out. I like the suction cup and the holder thing. It is pretty good quality. The rollers work well and are cool to the touch which is a nice little bonus. I feel like it helps me save product and apply it more evenly. With a dropper I was using too much or mostly getting it in my hair instead of on my scalp.I tried this with rosemary oil just to test it out and I will say it does not work as well since the oil is thicker. It still comes out but barely. Also, it was hard to clean out. I think this product is better suited for a water-like consistency.

This works great to apply hair oil. Itâs also nice for massaging your scalp. Itâs easy to fill and store the oil. I highly recommend this product.

Pros Outweighs Cons
This is a great tool for a no-mess application instead of the dropper included with most minoxidil solutions. It is a fairly large applicator – 3 ml capacity, larger than the recommended minoxidil dose. The plus side is that it has more applicator tips to efficiently spread the solution around.My process:1) Flip the plastic handle part and rest it on the counter.2) Dispense the minoxidil into the handle, which has handy measurement lines.3) Screw on the metal applicator.4) I let the solution flow to the tips by resting the assembled applicator on the included stand.5) Apply the solution to the scalp.6) As the solution runs low, I give the handle a slight squeeze to help dispense he rest of the solution.The threads on the applicator can sometimes be hard to screw on and off. Not sure if it was bc I accidentally rinsed the plastic part with warm/hot water that couldâve warped it?

I know why you want this, but it’s not what you want.
The physics of this thing just don’t really work. The liquid has a hard time getting into the little prongs, and hardly anything comes out. The liquid only goes into them when it’s held level (otherwise it just sloshes around the side.)Dispensing 1ml takes 10 minutes (way too long!) Maybe mine is defective? But the design problems I raised earlier would still be an issue even if the prongs didn’t seem way too narrow. Seems like there’s a problem with surface tension because the holes for the liquid bead up once you get down to a small amount of liquid.Unscrewing this thing is a pain too. It gets stuck even if you’re very careful and gentle with it.I understand why someone would want this, but this thing is just junk that doesn’t work.

LOVE THIS APPLICATOR!!!I have used it with many hair products, all liquids, no oils.Works great to get hair loss tonics directly on my scalp where they belong!I love that it also has a silicone cap to keep the rollers clean when not in use. Will definitely buy again once I wear this one out. But can’t see that happening anytime soon!

I bought this to help get oil onto my toddler’s dry scalp without drenching his hair. The applicator works alright, releases a moderate amount of oil. The little brush that came with it ended up being just the right tool for the job, and I am very happy with this purchase.

As much as I love this product, it broke after 3 uses. The threads no longer catch when the applicator is closed, it just keeps spinning, causing the oil inside to spill out. Also there is a plastic ring that has broken off.While it is not broken to the point of it being unusable. Itâs broken to the point that it wastes product and has become a nuisance to use. Not very happy about it but you get what you pay for I guess. Attached a video to further show what I have explained.

This device has been a total game changer for me. I’ve been using Minoxidil for years and I absolutely hate applying it because it wreaks my hair style in between washings. With this device the minoxidil goes directly onto my scalp where it belongs and not all over my hair it’s truly amazing!
