Design Flaw/Malfunction: Charging Port
Donât waste your time/money. I had a different model Saviland nail drill that ended up dying on me. I shouldâve taken the hint to find/try a new brand. First one I purchased, I charged fully prior to using (with the provided USB-C cable). Once it died, I tried to plug it in and the charging port would not hold the cable in place/charge the drill unless I held it manually in place in a very specific position. Which I obviously do not have the bandwidth to do. I chalked it up to the charging port malfunctioning, which can happen to any product you buy. So I requested to âreplaceâ the nail drill and agreed to return the defective one for a new one. Well.. the new one off the rip, right out of the box has a âflimsyâ charging port and I cannot charge this one now too.. and I canât even request the refund because this is the âreplacementâ that is somehow worse than the first one. I wanted to love it. I love the colors and I love the RPM power it provides but I cannot afford to keep throwing my money at this and hoping for the best. I would not recommend this to anyone – I think it is a design flaw/malfunction and they do have other models that work very well. But for this brand I unfortunately have to say 0/10 â¹ï¸

Once I got past the annoying charging issues, itâs a fine nail drill.
So, right out of the box, I couldnât figure out how to get the device working, which made me feel like an idiot. The manual doesnât mention anything about charging, which you would think is a fairly straightforward process, but apparently it’s trickier than I expected.Apparently, you have to use the included USB-C to USB-A cable to charge it, and the USB-C end must go into the device while the USB-A end goes into the (not included) power source. If you try it the other way around, it wonât charge. It also wonât charge with a USB-C to USB-C cable or a USB-A to USB-A cable. I donât even understand what the USB-A port on the device is for, since it seems to do nothing. The cable also doesnât seat very securely in the port, making it easy to become too loose to charge with just a slight nudge. I tried multiple cables besides the one included and had the same issue.Anyway, once I figured out how to charge it and got it running, it worked great. The screen is easy to read, the device is responsive, and 40,000 RPM is more than enough for my needs. The colors are very pretty and were honestly the main reason I chose this specific model.The battery pack could be more durableâI wish it was made of metal like the drill itself, but itâs plastic. The texture on the adjustment knob should run vertically instead of horizontally to make it easier to grip, but itâs still responsive and easy to use, if maybe a bit too easy. The device comes with a ton of accessories and drill bits, making it a solid value as a starter kit. I’m just skeptical of how that charging port will hold up, and still mystified by the presence of the USB-A port.

I mean, i agree with the other reviewers. This is a great set. Colors are nice, it works well.It’s a great set. I think my only observation/gripe is that the battery pack feels like really cheap plastic and the belt hook on the back creeks like it’s about to break at any point.the cord between the drill and batter is long enough and it doesn’t tend to get in the way.The drill itself is a nice feeling metal that is easy to grip. The battery pack is cheap plastic. It’s almost like they got the battery pack messed up :)Battery seems to last. It doesn’t have wild vibrations. it’s easy to hold and maneuver at 40k as well as 2k.I dont know if this would get a great salon addition, but i dont know that it wouldnt either. This is definitely great for a DIY at home use.My recommendation. Make the battery pack feel a little more “quality” and the turn knob, make it a little bit more “grippy” that way it’s easier to turn.I really like this and hope it lasts a long time.
