Great Vitamin for MTHFR Deficiency
I was told that with this pregnancy that I have the MTHFR and protein S deficiency and that I had to take a special kind of prenatal, which stunk because I had just purchased a bunch of high quality prenatals off amazon that I canât use. I was told by my OB to look for a prenatal with methyltetrahydrafolate. This ended up being a difficult task. I could hardly find anything but did eventually find the ritual brand. I was impressed with the clear capsules with the liquid contents where you could see the ingredients. The pill size was also tolerable as I was taking a prenatal previously that was like a horse pill. I also liked the idea of the pill flavoring as supplements can taste awful. I bought the citrus flavor and it didnât leave any sort of an aftertaste. One thing I wasnât crazy about was the price as $43 is pretty steep for once a month. I ended up getting the subscription and saving 15% and then I bought a bunch of bottles during cyber week for about $23 to hold me over for the duration of my pregnancy. They also make a postnatal, which from my understanding with the MTHFR gene I will need to take this form of folate for the rest of my life. I donât recognize if I have any changes as to energy but I am in my last trimester so everything for me is low energy and Iâm always tired. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. This is great for pregnant women/new moms like me that canât process folic acid normally and need this other form.***UPDATE***I just wanted to update that I am still on this prenatal. Itâs been almost 6 months that Iâve been on it and I continue to like taking it. Two capsules a day at night and nothing ever comes back up with an after taste. Thereâs nothing negative to report. I still recommend this brand and have bottles of the post natal lined up to take after the baby is born.****Final Update****I had the baby and switched over to the postnatal. At the moment the postnatal only comes in a mint flavor as the citrus is unavailable. I canât say itâs my favorite flavor for a pill but the taste is pretty brief. I suggest this as a post step after birth for any ladies that need a good, comprehensive postnatal, which I have heard we all need for ourselves and for the babies (if youâre breast feeding).

Great Prenatal
I just completed the entire bottle of prenatal so I feel ready to review them! (Iâm currently 39 weeks pregnant) I have a very sensitive stomach and when taking these I didnât have any issues with stomach upset, digestive changes or nausea. Iâm not a huge fan of how expensive they are but most prenatal vitamins are expensive so I bit the bullet due to the clean ingredients. I got the citrus flavor and they taste/smell like lemon which I liked. If you take them WHEN youâre eating or directly after you can avoid the fishy burps, BUT if you take them too long after you ate the burps are vile. Itâs a fishy- musty taste that is disgusting. The only thing that has me in limbo about purchasing again is the color change. I did not have anything super drastic like I see in the other reviews but they do darken over time. It says not to store them in direct sunlight, which I did not but over the month they did darken a bit. Iâm pretty curious as to why that happens. Besides that I am very happy with these vitamins.UPDATING: so Iâve been taking these vitamins for quite some time. I am four months postpartum and Iâm still taking them as I am nursing my son I tried the mint and it was not for me, but I stick with the citrus and I have to say I love it. My stomach is no longer as sensitive as it was when I was pregnant, so I havenât had one fishy burp or issue since I was pregnant. However, I do always take the vitamins after eating. I can honestly say that I have much better energy during the day when I take them and I do feel like they keep me regular. Itâs definitely a staple and now I have them on recurring orders monthly. If youâre thinking about it I say you should give it a try!

Great vitamin
Best smelling vitamins I have ever purchased. They go down smooth without making me sick so they seem great quality. I did alot of research and love that these have some methylated vitamins included. Very easy to swallow and average size pills. Iâve been taking them a few days and have noticed better sleep and less constipation. So they are very effective.

I’m not sure anymore
Well, after reading all the reviews and comments I decided to try this. At first I liked it! Easy to swallow, very nice lemon smell and it did give me a fishy burp like other people have mentioned, but I started taking it in my way to bed and it not only is making me have some water before bed, it also avoided the fishy flavored burps…Until…About a week in, I got sick really bad. Diarrhea and symptoms of food poisoning, but I eat healthy and rarely eat out (and I hadn’tin over a week), and other than Ritual prenatal, I’m not takinganything. I didn’t make any connections to these at first, until today (3 days later) I almost put this black one in my mouth. What the heck? I believe I took one of these and didn’t notice, I usually don’t inspect my pills before taking it 𥲠I found 2 more that were halfway black. The others were fine. Expiration date is good… but after this I’m not sure I want to keep taking it.

âGreat quality, but the flavor didnât work for meâ
This is a very good product â it has an excellent prenatal formula, and I truly recognize its quality. However, because my sense of smell and taste are very sensitive during pregnancy, the lemon flavor was hard for me to handle. Unfortunately, I couldnât keep taking it, even though I know how beneficial it is.I believe itâs a great choice for those without this sensitivity! Maybe a more neutral or flavorless version would be helpful for moms-to-be like me.
