A narrative guide and practical methodology for nurturing and sustaining our relationships with ourselves, others, and the world.
“With intimacy as the foundational principle of our existence, we can build a life based on what we truly need, not what we think we need or have been told we need. By embracing the practice of radical intimacy, I can confidently promise my readers a personal revolution of self-acceptance, appreciation, vitality, and confidence. And without fail, mind-blowing, soul-stirring, earth-shattering sex follows.”—Zoë Kors
Part practical guide, part client stories, part personal narrative, Zoë Kors draws on her experience as a sex and intimacy coach, thought leader, and relationship writer in sharing her powerful and practical methodology for nurturing and sustaining our intimate relationships over time. She addresses the essential truth that is almost universally missed in discussions of sex and intimacy: We can meet each other only to the extent that we can meet ourselves. Kors guides the reader on a five‑part journey through nine areas of opportunity for deepening intimacy with themselves, their partner, and their world, inviting them to embrace emotional, physical, and energetic self‑mastery, which is required to skillfully relate with others. At the conclusion of each part, there are a collection of experiential exercises which support the reader in embodying the concepts they’ve just read. Voice-driven, accessible, and with the right amount of tough love, Radical Intimacy takes the mystery out of human connection. From academia and science to mysticism and self-development, Kors delivers a rich and varied understanding of human sexuality and intimacy through the lens of the body, brain, heart, spirit, and culture.

This Book Changed My Life
I can’t recommend this book highly enough. First of all, it’s beautifully written, which I rarely say about anything and makes such a difference. The author shares stories from her own life, making it feel personal and intimate. She also shares stories from her clients. There is so much valuable information in this book that I feel like I have a new understanding of myself and perspective on the way I relate to others and the world. The exercises at the end of each section are the best. Radical Intimacy is about so much more than sex, but the one warning I will give is that there is explicit sexual content in part of the book. It’s tasteful and helpful though. My husband benefits from my having read this book. I’m going to have him read it too.

A must-read for anyone who wants to live and love fully
The brilliant and soulful Zoë Kors has published a book that I believe every one of us should read. _Radical Intimacy: Cultivate the Deeply Connected Relationships You Desire and Deserve_ is a beautifully written deep-dive into the nature and practice of genuine intimacyâ emotional, physical, energetic⦠It explores, explicates, and celebrates all that I stand for and aspire to, which is to say: learning how to be truly intimate with ourselves and others. Zoë charts this process clearly with her signature mix of fierce intelligence and buoyant compassion. I hired Zoë as my coach several years ago when I was struggling to understand and heal old patterns that were preventing me from the kind of intimacyâwith self, with otherâthat I so dearly wanted. I chose Zoë from a host of excellent relationship coaches and sexperts because she stands out in several ways that are important to me: Zoëâs expertise in intimacy is arrived at via substantive training in and study of traditions and practices that, from various but complimentary perspectives (hatha and bhakti yoga, meditation, tantra, Zen Buddhism, hospice, art history, co-active coachingâ¦) investigate what it is to be alive, to engage consciously and with care the essential life force that shepherds both individuality and intra-being. Radical intimacy is a core principal of self-love and ecological thriving; it is, I would venture, an ethical imperative, hardly myopic or blindly indulgent. This book is easy to read because itâs written so well, and itâs punctuated by tried-and-true (and fun) exercises that Zoë developed to help us implement her teachings. We need this book now more than ever, and there isnât anything quite like it out there. I will be suggesting this to all of my clients and students, and I think youâll love it too.

A must read for anyone looking to embark on the next chapter of their inner development.
Be brave. Read this book. Beautifully written in a voice that is comprehensive and relatable, Zoe gives us the tools (and bravery!) to embark on the journey of a lifetime. Through stories and experiential exercises, she shows us how to connect deeply with ourselves, lovers, and friends~ all while shedding the shame we have surrounding sexuality and helping us find the courage to bare our souls to the world. This is a life changing read.

Not enthusiastic about this book
I am familiar with the majority of the topics in this book. I did not learn many awakening things and I think this book lacks depth. Itâs not the best option if you look for answers and how to find the path to yourself and connection to those around. I have highlighted a few phrases in it but I would not re-buy it.

Lots of great information!
Zoe is an excellent writer and I was impressed with all her nuggets of wisdom throughout the book. This book taught me our bodies have the capacity to experience and expand all human emotions. I learned so much about emotional regulation and hope one day I can master that skill. I may have to refer back to this book time to time. My only complaint is she makes her beliefs well known and considers them universal truth. Thereâs a few things I disagreed with yet kept reading.

Probably not what you think. Itâs BETTER!
I must confess, my wifeâs friend recommended I read this book, and I was resistant; worried it would be all about what I like to call woo woo stuff, and primarily for women. That is, a book focused on soft science and new age philosophies about âfeelings.â However, the book instead feels like getting to secretly peer into other couplesâ incredibly effective marriage and intimacy counseling sessions, and find ways (there are always ways) which their problems and solutions may mirror your own.Ms. Kors is profoundly brave, sharing some of her own painful relationship issues and discussing their root causes and how she worked on them, but the real gems of the book are in hearing the brilliant way she works with clients to find the root causes of theirs, often getting them to life changing discoveries by offering little more than gentle direction and a well placed âsay more about THAT.âI have given the book to several friends who were also a little resistant to reading it, and all have come back to me saying how wrong their preconceptions were and how valuable it was to read this book in its entirety. I highly recommend you do the same!

This book is for EVERYONE.
The thing I like best about this book is that itâs impressively inclusive. Kors writes about human connection in a way that transcends gender, orientation, race, and ethnicity. This book is for everyone. I especially appreciate the distinction of different kinds of intimacyâphysical, emotional, energeticâas ways of understanding what makes us feel most connected. Itâs both thought-provoking and practical. Radical Intimacy is a book I will refer to over and over. Highly recommend!

If I could rate this 10 stars, I would. This book is so beautiful and so important, and it has so much to offer to every reader. Zoe Kors’ wisdom shines through as she guides the reader to a deeper level of connection (both personally & relationally). Do yourself a favor…you’ll be so deeply grateful that you got to experience this book and all of the gifts it offers! I bought multiple copies to share with others, bc it’s that impactful.
