Great food. A little pricey.
We feed our GSD the kibble form of this mostly. But, some days he’s a little finicky. While he refuses the kibble, he never refuses this wet version. He loves the taste and texture, and enjoys the same benefits on his coat, skin, and sensitive stomach. It’s high quality, and somewhat expensive as a result (the only real downside). It also is somewhat grey in appearance. Which is fine, but initially, I wondered if the can had spoiled (was expecting it to be brown).

For the dog with Allergies
My rescue dog has multiple allergies – most notably chicken. Chicken is in almost every treat and dog food – hard to believe. Maple has been eating hypoallergenic dry food – prohibitive cost.Normal appearance for dog food, very economical . The moment I opened the can – she came running , She eats it with a combo of dry food and loves it! Size of the can is perfect – usually get three meals . No Chicken + no reaction = pone very happy dog. You can’t go wrong. The Best !

Good product but my dog got tired of it quickly
My dog was eating it for about a month and a half, and then refused it. Maybe he just got tired of it. He only weighs 9 lb and it requires him to eat almost a whole can a day, so it can get a little expensive.I think it’s a good product though, and I like that Purina offers a healthy wet salmon.

Great
My vet told me years to go put my dog on this, and Iâm so glad I did. Since then, sheâs had no more skin or tummy issues. She acts like sheâs obsessed with it so I assume she likes it. Vet always says itâs the best brand, so thatâs what I go for.

Damaged product
6 of these cans were very dented. 1 was so dented that it opened. Shipping box was in good condition. This had to be noticed during packing. I attempted to do a return, but it was requested that the product be returned. Not convenient to lug the cans back. Poor quality control.

Terrible texture
The texture and smell are terrible. I was looking for a dog food without chicken, very hard to do. I found this thinking it would be great. I had to buy a case because that was the only available way to buy it on Amazon. I used 1 can and ended up donating it to my local shelter. The texture is something like a very mushy loose oatmeal. When my dog was done eating, his nose was covered in it, there was no way of him eating it without wearing it.

Excellent product for sensitive dogs
Our local stores don’t sell just the salmon and Rice canned food unless sold individually. Our pups are very sensitive to chicken and have always maintained good results when using PPP Salmon and Rice. The price is good (cheaper than individually sold) and delivery saves me so much time

I think the consistency is too mushy. Itâs more like a cat food. My dog didnât seem to know how to eat it. She kept trying to pick some up with her teeth but it was too soft. She got fed up and just tried to turn her dish over every time. I mixed in some hard food and that seemed to help.
