I purchased the Pucula Oven Thermometer (50-300°C/100-600°F) to verify the accuracy of my modern oven’s thermostat. While modern ovens are generally reliable, I’ve always wondered if the indicated preheat temperature truly matched the internal oven temperature, or if there was a slight variance.This analog thermometer has been excellent for providing that insight. I’ve tested it at various temperatures, including the common 350°F setting, and I’ve found my oven’s thermostat to be quite accurate according to the Pucula thermometer. This is reassuring for consistent baking and roasting.One crucial finding, however, is that while my oven indicates preheating is complete, the Pucula thermometer shows it’s beneficial to wait an additional 5 to 10 minutes for the oven to truly stabilize at the target temperature. This extra waiting period ensures a more even heat distribution and prevents temperature fluctuations that could impact sensitive recipes.The thermometer itself is well-built and easy to read. It hangs or stands securely within the oven. Must have thermometer
This oven thermometer does exactly what itâs supposed to. It gives a reliable temperature reading and helped me realize my oven runs about 25 degrees cooler than the setting. The dial is easy to read through the oven door, and it feels sturdy. Whether you hang it or stand it up, it stays in place well. A small but useful upgrade for better cooking results. Very durable and easy to read.
I’m giving this a five-star rating because it is very well made but I’m just not sure of the accuracy. I had the temperature set and my toaster oven at 275 but the gauge was reading 300 $300 and stayed that way even when I turned the temperature down to about 225. So either my oven is wonky or the item is wonky. I bought this specifically to keep account of the temperature when baking polymer clay which has to be set at a very specific temperature.

A great idea to confirm the temperature in my oven. All ovens are different and itâs good to be accurate to ensure great baking results. This gadget can hang on an oven rack or stand on its own. It tips over easily and doesnât have the best grip to hang it but I like the overall idea of this and am glad I bought it for myself and for gifts for my family.
