It all began in 1994, with our rescue white lab, Winston, who was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Several vets recommended putting him down, but this was never an option for us.
We began researching alternative medicine while working with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian.

Bitter YUCK is right⦠my lips still havenât forgiven me.
I ordered this along with a pregnancy pillow, and the package came in one of those classic Amazon bagsânot a box, because chaos. When I opened it, the outside of the pillowâs (Thank God it was vacuum wrapped and sealed) plastic wrap was damp, and the Bitter YUCK! bottleâs cap was deceptively on just enough to appear fine. It had leaked everywhere.Since the spray is odorless and looked just like water, I assumed it was condensation or it was in a puddle (Houston is humid and had just had some rain as well) and went about my day like a fool. Didnât wash my hands. Later on, I took a sip of water, casually rubbed my lipsâand thatâs when it hit. The taste. An unholy bitterness. Like if a 9-volt battery, a grapefruit rind, and betrayal had a baby.It lingered. It haunted me. I couldnât even be mad at the product itselfâit clearly worksâbut wow.Please, NaturVet and Amazon, tighten the caps. Pregnant women already have enough surprisesâwe donât need secret bitter booby traps in our Amazon bags.

Did Not Work
If I could give this no stars I would. This did not work and watch out when you spray it! This stuff gets in the air and in your mouth and is awful. Even with the awful taste my dog still licked and chewed his paws.

Bought this to stop my cat from chewing on cords. Sprayed it. Cat gave me a smug look, then licked it like it was a fine wine pairing. Zero effect. Meanwhile, my daughter accidentally touched her sandwich after handling the sprayed area and now insists Iâve ruined peanut butter forever.So, to summarize:Cat â completely unfazed, possibly more powerful than before.Daughter â deeply betrayed.Me â questioning all my life choices.Would recommend⦠if your goal is to protect your furniture from humans, not pets.3 stars for effort. Minus 2 for my kidâs dramatic reenactment of âtaste betrayal.â

Effective, but you will taste it
First of all, this has been working when I sprayed it. I have a cat who very much enjoys chewing my waterline to shreds, and when I sprayed this across it, it worked great! She began to leave it alone!The only downside is this stuff hangs in the air. If you do more than one spray, the fluid sits in the air even minutes after being sprayed. You. Will. Breath. It. In. And it is awful.If you get it on your hands too, it’s very oily and takes multiple washes to get off, and when you think it’s off, you will lick your finger after eating something good, and you will taste it and cry.The oily texture on it does mean that the surface you spray doesn’t have to be perpetually wet for the taste to be bad, it stays on for a few days or so before another spray is needed (depending on the surface)Overall works well, just wish I didn’t have to taste it myself !

So this stuff is magic. It works VERY well and taste like crap. I was applying this to some hanging LEDs that make drawings on my walls. My cats love to chew on cables and the LEDs seem to be their new target. So I applied this with bare hands and ran my wet fingers down the cord to ensure it was covered. Cat took one little bite and never returned. He learned right away. Other cat gave it a try and same case. gone, no more chewing on those cables. So being the genius I am, I washed my hands with warm water and soap and put a finger in my mouth. To my surprise I got a taste of the stuff and its horrible. I have since washed my hands several times, taken 2 showers, and I still have it on my fingers if I forget and bite a nail or eat something and a finger gets in my mouth. Yes, bite your nails. Thats the money savings part of my review. This stuff is an EXACT duplicate taste of the stuff you buy and put on your nails to break the nail biting habbit. I had bought some last year and it was pretty helpful. Dried clean and left nothing like the old school nail biter med that was essentially nail polish with yuck added. So this is the exact same stuff only you get about 15 times more buying in this container than buying the mini pen container that they sell for human nail use. So if you want to stop biting nails, here you go.All that being said. Don’t be me. I bet it even says it in the directions somewhere, but if you don’t read like me, this is for you. Use plastic gloves. You have them left over from the pandemic in a drawer somewhere. Go get them out and use them when applying this stuff. It will save you a long time of nasty tasting fingers. I rated this product top shelf across the board. The price is right, it is very effective, and is exactly as advertised.

A mis dos perros y mi gato no parece molestarles el sabor de este producto.. Lo compré especÃficamente para que no mordiesen sus camas pero no tiene ningún efecto. Mientras lo estoy echando se quedan sorprendidos por el olor y a los dos minutos continúan mordiendo… He de decir que a mi me resulta molesto el sabor. Al revolcarse y dormir en las camas en las que he puesto el producto, si les das una caricia y luego te pasas la mano por la cara etc. deja mal sabor de boca. Será que los mÃos son raros!

Spray it downwind from yourself! Stuff tastes NASTY. Misted a bowl of bacon grease to do a solid test, he licked it once and walked away. I have misted everything now ( puppies I tell yuh) our Dane has chewed EVERYTHING from the water tank, patio cushens, eaten a leg off a steel tub sink….everything. now he doesn’t know what to do. Highly recommended

We have a Dogue de Bordeaux that chews absolutely everything especially when she is outside she chewed the wires off our trailer 5 times and just recently chewed the hose on the BBQ in half. We bought this product to try to curb this habit and I must says it works.It absolutely smells disgusting and you want to be sure you aren’t downwind when you use it. But its in a convenient bottle and is decently priced when compared to other products on the market.I would 100% recommend.
