Good for homes with well water.
Works well for well water. My stylist says that she can really tell the difference in my hair since I started using this shampoo and conditioner. My hair is soft and smooth, even with the curls.

Hair feels lighter
Used it for the first time today. My stylist recommended it before bleaching my hair again in a few days since I have well water. My hair is normally oily on top, thin, and the ends are dry and ugly. Now this is only my first use but I do noticed my hair feels lighter, not so weighed down and looks a tad bit healthier but nothing crazy drastic, my ends look better though! My hair has more movement now. I’m looking forward to seeing how this shampoo and conditioner so over time and using a second packet later on does. So far I’m pleased.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This was recommended to me by my new hairstylist, so I ordered it. I was surprised at how well the treatment powder lathered, and how well the conditioner worked. I feel like it made a difference in my hair, but not really by much. Although, I don’t really know whether or not I had alot of mineral build-up on my hair, so I’m certainly not going to say it didn’t work. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you have hard water in your home!

Love this hair treatment kit
I have used the Malibu Hard Water Wellness Remedy off and on for several years. It really helps remove buildup from my hair. In extreme cases, I have used the crystal treatment weekly but since getting a shower filter, I only use it monthly. During the summer I use the shampoo and conditioner about once a week for maintenance. Then use a different shampoo/conditioner with uv protection the rest of the time since I swim a lot. In winter, I wash my hair less often and typically use the Malibu shampoo and conditioner almost exclusively. My hair is very fine but I have a lot of it and this helps me to have more body and seems to help keep my hair healthier. It is softer and less dry without feeling weighted down. I love the clean sort of citrusy scent. With sensitivities, a lot of haircare products are a no go for me as they cause headaches. Even with the amount of hair I have, a little bit goes a long way so this lasts longer than some of the less expensive brands. For me, it is well worth the investment.

Initial Thoughts: First Time Use
I have strawberry blonde 2b/2c hair down past the middle of my back. After moving to an area with extremely hard water, my once beautiful hair got destroyed. My hair started breaking. In some spots, the strands are only 2-3 inches long now. My hair has been frizzy, and my scalp is dry. Iâve had clumps upon clumps of hair fall out in the shower. All of the products I used no longer work, and nothing I try seems to help my hair.I came across this product when trying to find a solution to my problem. I tried it for the first time today, and Iâm not sure how I feel about it. I used the shampoo, crystal packets, and conditioner. They smell pleasant, like oranges. The shampoo seemed to work fine. The crystals changed from smelling like citrus to a strong metallic smell after sitting on my hair for a few minutes. The conditioner is way too thin. I had to use a ton on my hair to get a comb through it. I lost more hair in the shower today than any other time, and Iâm not happy about it. Now that my hair is completely dry, my scalp does feel cleaner and less dry. The scent of the products doesnât linger. I canât smell it al all. My hair is more poofy and softer than itâs been since I moved here, but it still looks like trash. I know this isnât going to be a one use wonder, but I guess I expected more after reading the reviews. I never thought I would write a review for shampoo/conditioner, but this one deserves it. I moved from a country with water I thought was hard to a country with water so hard we cannot drink it. My hair felt increasingly dry and awful. I tried moisturizing shampoos, hair oils, etc. Nothing made much of a difference. Then I stumbled on this one, and I kid you not, from the first wash my hair has felt softer and fluffier (I have not been able to get my hair cut in 7 months, so it might be TOO fluffy) I have naturally grey hair, which is usually fairly dry at the best of times and this had made it feel great. I plan to keep using this when I finally move somewhere with soft water and look forward to seeing what healthiness happens to my hair then. Cannot recommend this shampoo/conditioner enough

Works as advertised – I had silly hard water and this product made my partners hair nice and soft, rather than kind of Haystack-like. I had an issue with the first shipment and the vendor sent out replacement product quickly; so I appreciate that too.
