Great whole class reward system!
I love this reward jar to use in class with my students. The stars that go inside are thick and I like the assortment of colors. It is the perfect size to hang on my whiteboard for the class to see (not too big and not too small). It is easy to use and I also appreciate the bag that came with this to hold the stars in so I don’t lose them. The entire reward plastic reward jar seems to be durable and will withstand some use throughout the year. The only thing that I would change about this is to make the magnet a little bit stronger. It doesn’t quite hold up the reward jar once you begin putting the stars inside (too heavy). I just added another magnet to the back that I already had to help hold it up.

Great Quality and my son LOVES it!
This is a perfect option for a rewards system! Its a great size to be easily visible without taking up a ton of space on the countertop. This came with magnets if you wanted to mount it on the fridge, but we decided to stick with the tabletop stand. My son responds really well to positive reinforcement, so when he does something “star-worthy” like being polite, being a good listener or playing nicely with his sister, he gets to choose a star to put in the jar. Its extra fun for him because there’s a variety of colors, so he gets to “be in charge” and choose whichever color he wants for his reward. When the jar gets filled up, he gets to pick out a surprise from a little treasure chest. The jar itself is nice and lightweight and looks really cute sitting out on the counter. The stars are made from a nice thin acrylic(?) so they are lightweight but durable. They are easy to put in and dump out so its quick to re-set once he reaches his goal. He just loves the system and the “Star Jar” is a great motivator to encourage him to keep making good choices and build his confidence.

I ordered this product along with a very similar one to compare which I liked more, since I have two kids that need one anyway. I appreciated how neat the packaging was. It includes a nice little bag to put all the tokens in, which I really liked compared to the other one. The tokens seem like a sturdy plastic. I was a little disappointed in the magnet- they’re very thin, like half the thickness of the 3M ones I got with the other product, but surprisingly they were still pretty strong! I initially only put one magnetic on and tried it on the fridge just to see if it would be strong enough and it held it up just fine with only one! So looks can be deceiving I guess. But the quality of the jar is great and I like the concept of it. I had been struggling with a good physical reward system that wasn’t too far out of reach for a 3 and 6 year old to realistically accomplish and I think this one is going to be the ticket. And if we fail at keeping with up rewarding behavior, well it’ll still be a great fine motor skill activity for my 1 and 3 year old, haha.

Focus on the positive!
We have a similar star jar that we use for chores and it works well. I ordered this extra jar to use for our 6-year-old who is a SUPER PICKY eater. He can add a star if he actually puts a new food in his mouth; no dessert items just fruits and veggies and protein. He doesn’t have to love it but we want him to give it an honest try. We hope he can add 2-3 stars a week. We want to focus on the positive and the effort he is making to try new things, even if it is a slow process. I like these plastic stars better than the wooden ones in our chore jar. I am using the stand to set the jar on a window ledge instead of the magnets to put it on the frig.

Fun, and cute and did the trick
I love the jar, it’s solidly made Auth a clear front so we can see how full it is. It’s made negotiations so much less, you know the rules and how to earn rewards. Now they can see how close they are to the big prize.We have a number system to determine how many stars for each task, and how many stars to cash out for lower level rewards.I don’t feel like im bribing to get simple task done. And I’m also not giving rewards for ‘please just be good’ situations. It has changed meltdowns & tantrums to almost non existent.Highly recommend you give this a try.

Nice alternative to a reward chart.
I got two of these reward jars from 2 different Amazon vendors to see how they compare. While neither was perfect, in my opinion, this one is the one I would more highly recommend. There are 25 stars that are made of vibrant colored plastic. It includes a small cloth bag to store the stars as well as a simple wooden stand and 2 adhesive magnetic strips.  The other vendor’s jar had 45 smaller painted wooden stars and no storage bag. However, the jar itself was larger than this jar and the magnetic strips were much stronger when I put them on my refrigerator.  The jar in this review was better crafted – the other vendor’s jar had glue showing and the plexiglass was starting to separate from the “wooden” back of the jar. The other jar also has the words “REWARd JAR HAPPY EVERY DAY” while this jar had no writing on it.I can see this as being a great tool to use when getting young children to do chores or to assist with potty training. Recommended!
