Covid, YouTube & Common Sense…
With the salons closed due to Covid-19, my wife asked if I could do her roots. I figured after 52 years of marriage this would be the ultimate test, that make or break moment! With the help of YouTube, good instructions and some common sense I did the task. All in all the process was easy and hassle free. The results were perfect and the coverage perfect. I have done it twice now and am ready to open a salon!Negative: Gloves provided are very small and will not fit an average man.

easy-to-use product to lengthen the time between full coloring
I do home coloring all the time, but the development time for my full-coverage product is pretty lengthy. This touch-up kit gives me the perfect amount to cover my roots and the development time is just 10 minutes. I use the medium blonde color and its an excellent match for my regular medium blonde color from a different brand.The dye looks alarmingly reddish at about the 9 minute mark, but when I rinse I get the promised blonde.From now on I’m doing full coloring every OTHER month and using this product in between.

Easy application, bad color match
I dye my hair with LâOreal 5R Light Auburn, so I thought this would be perfect for my roots. Application was super easy and mess-free! That said, the color match was pretty awful lol – pics show before and after. I left it on for 10 minutes, but after washing it out, my roots looked bright orange! I then used the rest of the tube to add more and let it sit for an additional 10 minutes, and it darkened to the mahogany color seen in the photo. Iâm sure thereâs user error on my part, but this product is designed for at-home users so Iâm a bit disappointed.

SOOOO thrilled (and relieved!)
My hair is med blond with lighter highlights. I’m 44, but have inherited some early graying on my sides/temples that looks white now. It mostly blends in as I’ve gone lighter with my highlighting over the years, so I’ve gotten away with not covering the gray for awhile. It has started to bother me more though and I really didn’t want to get it professionally done (I’ve cut & highlighted my own hair since I was 11) When I saw this kit, I was hopeful that this was my cheap, at home answer! IT IS!!!! I went with the medium blonde color. It blends with the general gold tones of my hair and covers the white just enough. Super easy to use (as I’m used to the brush on highlights kits) I’m so happy to have this solution to keep my hair young-ish looking over the years.

Great for in between salon appointments!
Iâm a natural blonde but have my hair colored about every 10 weeks to cover grays and add some lowlights. Between being 50 and going through a divorce, the grays seem to be coming more quickly! I was hesitant to try this for fear of measuring up my salon color. I just went for it and was very happy with the results. It blends perfectly with my color and the grays are kept at bay until my next appointment. I used it for the second time today and am again happy with the results. Way cheaper than going in to get a touch up between appointments. I am playing to do this from now on. Since Iâm only coloring roots and near my temple, I only use about half the bottle. I may experiment with only mixing half next time.

I started colouring my hair to hide my greys which now are about 40%. I had lots of disasters at different hair salons and decided to not go there anymore. Therefore, I tried this product thinking that this would most likely be a disaster too. However, this turned out great! It covered most of my grey roots and looks very natural! Coverage is not 100% but I think that’s because I got nervous and washed my hair after 8 minutes instead of 10!
