For one, this kit came with everything I needed to complete these manicures. It came with more than I needed to complete thr manicure, frankly.I won’t lie, it’s a skill that needs to be learned. It’s not *easy* but it’s also not at all hard. By the time I was on my third finger I basically had it down, and had a decent technique. It took me probably about 3-4 hours, but that’s also due to taking a break in between hands. I think I could have easily gotten it all done in and hour and a half to two hours.It came with a little pamphlet that had instructions, and I followed those instructions relatively closely, but I also highly recommend watching YouTube tutorials to actually see someone doing it. If you’re a visual learner, it’s nearly mandatory to watch a video, otherwise you might miss out of some technique tips that the pamphlet doesn’t cover.The kit I got came with a portable 6W UV LED lamp, and it works SURPRISINGLY well. IMO, no need to spend the extra money for the bigger lamp unless you want it for your setup. I had no issues drying any of the products with the 6W lamp.I did my nails yesterday, and I will come back to this review to update y’all on how long these nails last. I followed the prep instructions, and I feel relatively confident in these nails. Hoping for at least two weeks, as with the amount of gel that came in this kit, I likely wouldn’t have to get an in-store manicure for MONTHS. Looking forward to the savings this will bring me haha. I will also update on the state that this leaves my natural nails in, as I bought this with the intention of growing out my nails. It came with cuticle oil, but I also bought more, so hopefully my nails will come out stronger. I’ll also add that these poly-gel nails are very strong. I don’t feel worried that they’ll break. I’d be more worried about lifting and them getting ripped off, similarly to acrylics.Overall, highly recommend!

Great beginner kit!
As someone who has struggled with diy nails, this has been wonderful! For those who are new to poly gel or nails in general, I have found a few tips I believe can be helpful to others.1) You only need a tiny tiny bit of slip solution (rubbing alcohol works just as good). Sometimes I noticed even when I thought I had the tiniest amount of solution, it was still too much.2) Start with a pea sized amount of gel and adjust as you go. It is always easier to add than it is to take away.3) Flash cure the poly gel in the nail form BEFORE application! Flash curing is a minimum/maximum of 2-10 seconds under uv light to both sides. The time needed depends on how much gel you are using and your uv light so it may take a bit of trial and error to figure out the sweet spot. This prevents the poly gel from moving and slipping too much during nail application which can cause build up under the nail like some have experienced and weakness at the apex which can cause the nail to be flimsy and break easier. Flash curing is not a full cure so it is still able to be shaped with more durability to it.4) You can set the flash cured nails to the side and work on a full set before applying them for a full cure.5) Make sure you are removing all debris from your nails and that the cuticles are pushed back and neatly clipped. This includes your side wall cuticles as well. (Though this is usually already well known, it’s still a good reminder. :)Hope this helps all you beautiful diy ladies.Happy nail care!

Pretty easy to use for beginners! My only complaint is that the manual is a little barebone, so I recommend looking up poly gel tutorials online for anyone wanting them to last a long time. The variety for color is fairly good considering the price range, but keep in mind each tube is only enough for about one full set.Some tips for the girlies using it for the first time (from my trial and error):- Use a little more product than expected, the polygel is fairly translucent and will last a lot longer with more gel. When you apply it, make sure to place the top of the mold in the middle of the nail and push upwards until it hits the cuticle.- With a thicker application, cure it for a little longer than 90 seconds– or you can flip your hand over and cure the bottom of it. Otherwise, the gel doesn’t cure all the way, and the bottom gets dirty really quickly.- Buff your natural nails slightly before using the base coat, it makes it last a lot longer.

(I would think that “2-inch nails” people should be ordering individual big tubes anyway ona wholesale basis — this size tube would *each* easily do a full set, at least 2 or 3 times on my hands… and there is 14 tubes.)It comes with 3 little pots of glitter flakes, too. Removal wipes, clear clips to hold the mail form on while curing, a good metal gel scooper tool with the brush on the other end.Just an amazingly COMPLETE KIT. I wish I had seen this before I ordered items individually.ORDER IT! You won’t regret, especially if this is your first foray into polygel.
