Watching more strands circle the plughole than stay on my head was getting depressing, so I grabbed a bottle of Svvimer Hair Growth Shampoo, 13.5 ounces, about 400 millilitres. The recipe mixes biotin, caffeine, rosemary and a hit of tea tree oil that promises to wake up lazy follicles while keeping the scalp cool and clean. The liquid itself is clear and slightly watery, and it lathers enough to feel satisfying without turning the shower into a foam party.What I liked first was the tea tree tingle. After a sweaty gym session that cool feeling is brilliant, and the herby scent lingers just long enough to be pleasant without announcing itself to the whole office. After a fortnight my hair does look a shade fuller, nothing dramatic, just a bit less scalp showing in bright light, and the shampoo rinses out almost instantly.There are middling points. My medium-length mop needs two solid squeezes each wash, so the bottle disappears faster than small change in a pub fruit machine. When I made my order, it was for some metal push dispenser caps for shampoo bottles. However the listing then changed, and a bottle of mens shampoo turned up.I suspect it’s pretty good shampoo, though personally I’m a bit put off by the number of chemicals in the ingredients, as I normally just use liquid castile soap on my hair. It’s also got a fair amount of phenoxyethanol in it, which most of my family are allergic to.The shampoo comes in a decent bottle with a push dispenser cap. It’s a fairly large bottle, and is worth considering, if this is the kind of thing that you’re looking for.
