Buy At Your Own Risk (BAYOR): Critical Design Flaw Ruins Solati Beard Trimmer
Trimmer quality:This clipper was doomed the moment Solati chose such poor-quality plastic for the blade drive assemblyâthe crucial component where the motor transfers power to the cutting blade. That point of connection is essential for performance, and in this case, itâs the Achilles’ heel. Mine broke at this juncture after only a few uses, rendering it completely inoperable. The plastic used is flimsy, brittle, and clearly not up to the job of handling even light-duty grooming. Solati seriously needs to redesign the motor-to-blade power transfer mechanism using more durable plastic or, better yet, a metal or composite material that can handle wear and tear, heat and torque. Until then, this product is a classic Buy At Your Own Risk (BAYOR) situation!!!

I loved this trimmer. It is heavy and well made and comes fully charged. My only issue was while the trimmer looks and feels well made the accessories like the guides were not in keeping with that same quality. But it gets the job done ð

Why have I posted a picture of two of the trimmers? Well I could say this is the best trimmer in the world but I wouldn’t know. I could say you won’t find a better trimmer, but I wouldn’t know. What I do know is that I have bought two of them now. I had the first one for over a year and it never failed. However, when I lost the power lead to it I could not find an easy replacement so I bought another one as I had been very happy with the first one. The advantage of the second one is that it charges via a USB-C cable – the first one used some sort of 2-pin cable.The trimmer itself feels good in the hand, has some nice weight to it and just does the job it is designed to do very well. Is it easy to use – well it has one button so doesn’t need a 10-page manual!! The depth adjusters simply clip on and are secure – not had one fall off during use. It is well made and if looked after, that is cleaning and oiling, I see it lasting a few years. Would highly recommend it.
