No allergic reaction!
I didn’t like this at first – in fact, I almost returned it thinking that it just wasn’t going to work for me. I loved the fact that it was fragrance free and hypoallergenic, but it dried down looking stiff like hairspray, and the hold didn’t seem to last.I decided to give it another try, and I’m glad I did. I’ve found a way to work with it that keeps my hair looking soft and natural, and still gives enough hold. I’ve been using it for a few days now, and have had absolutely no allergic reaction (no scalp issues, no fragrance headaches), which is a huge plus.

holds well
This product holds well, doesn’t have a chemical odor. I think the super hold is probably better for shorter hair. My medium length hair probably needs the medium hold, so I’ll go back to that after finishing this tube of super hold. I use this product to get height in my flat hair as I blow it dry, and to help keep the height. Without it, I’ll be flat by afternoon. With it, my hair has some fullness.

Great purchase, sage and effective!
This product feels like a normal thick gel and works really well! I appreciate that it is effective for styling my medium/fine curly hair without all of the chemicals. I use the firm hold gel, and the cast is not quite as hard as some other gels Iâve used, but I do try to use this sparingly because it feels a little expensive. When I break the cast my curls come out soft and not weighed down or feeling like thereâs a lot of product in them, and if I refresh with a bit of water they last several days. I will absolutely purchase again and am looking into other products from this brand!

Good product
I have very thin and very fine, straight hair and need something to add body. This ptuduct fid a good job but I needed to add more each day (others I have chard lasted several days). I reorders as I felt it was kinder to my Gaye and did add the body I needed.

creates a hard cast, good for my curls
My loose curls need a strong hold gel that creates a hard cast, and this one does the trick! Only a couple other gels create a hard cast on my hair (LA looks, NYM Curl Talk Flash Freeze) but I couldn’t deal with how they smell. Other strong hold gels don’t create a cast and weigh my hair down (Jessicurl Spiralicious, Giovanni LA) possibly because there are too many moisturizing ingredients for me. This gel has no oils, butters, or glycerin. It does have a slight smell but it is not bothersome. It leaves my hair soft and not product-y feeling after the cast is gone. I sleep in the cast and it breaks overnight with no scrunching.

Not Firm Hold – Loses Strength Fast – Not Worth Price
This product is a medium hold at best, definitely not firm, and loses its potency fairly quickly when most of the tube is still full – even if you shake and knead the tube from first use onward.It has fairly clean ingredients and truly no fragrance, which is nice.However, the price has nearly doubled over time and $17+ for an underperforming hair gel is a joke. Not worth the price!ALSO, I recently switched out both this hair gel and a hair putty (different brand) to Harry’s brand (very clean ingredients) – both combined are nearly the same price as this FragFree junk AND they work better together for styling.Most importantly I rarely lose hair in my morning routine now as I style my hair – I thought the amount of shedding was normal but apparently not. I can’t pinpoint if it was the old hair putty or the FragFree gel, yet I’m never looking back and my hair continues to gain more fullness over time.

I like the unscented product and the hold for thick hair. I only use a small amount of the product for the hold I need. I would highly recommend this product.
