Kestrel Percussion Massager vs. Hypervolt 2
I recently tested both the Kestrel Percussion Massager and the Hypervolt 2, and here’s my comparison.Performance: The Kestrel boasts a 13mm stroke length with 6 speeds, providing a powerful and customizable massage experience. The Hypervolt 2, while good, offers a slightly shorter 12mm stroke length and only 3 speed settings.Battery Life: The Kestrel wins hands down with up to 8 hours of battery life compared to the Hypervolt’s 3 hours. This means fewer interruptions and more efficient recovery sessions.Attachments: With 6 interchangeable heads, the Kestrel offers more versatility compared to the Hypervolt’s 5 heads. This allows for more targeted muscle relief.Charging and Design: The Kestrel uses convenient USB-C PD fast charging, unlike the Hypervolt’s proprietary charger. The textured silicone grip of the Kestrel also provides a secure and comfortable hold during use.Price and Warranty: The Kestrel is currently priced lower at $227.50 (on sale) compared to the Hypervolt’s $299. Additionally, the Kestrel comes with a lifetime warranty, significantly better than the Hypervolt’s 1-year warranty. Conclusion: While both massage guns are effective, the Kestrel Percussion Massager offers superior performance, longer battery life, more attachments, convenient charging, and a better warranty at a lower price point. It’s a clear winner for anyone serious about their recovery routine.

Very powerful gun
Fantastic massage gun that resists stalling better than all the others I tried and sent back. I also have an Ached away pro which is a beast due to its 16mm amplitude. The Kestrel is just as strong with slightly less amplitude but does a great job. I’m 6’6″ tall with chronic spine issues and need a gun that is as strong as can be and the Kestrel and ached away pro are the only 2 are the strongest out there. The Kestrel has a great thumb wheel that controls the speed so if you want to ease it off for more sensitive areas you can do that easily with that control wheel.Highly recommended for people looking for a strong /powerful gun. It isn’t cheap but I’d say you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to these massage guns..

Good but not great. Would still buy it again.
The only complaint is the wheel at the top to adjust the speed is not very well built. A slight touch as its full speed or right back to low, and a slow spin at times does nothing. Other than that the item has been very good.

Well constructed device
So far so good. Well constructed device. Convenient carrying case. Multiple intensity settings, attachments, and quiet running functions. Initial full charge took a bit of time to achieve. Other than that, so far so good.

Versatile
Powerful and very well built! Its operation is smooth and quiet. Not for small hands! The lifetime warranty is a bonus.

Bought new but got used.
For the price, I expected better. It was not brand new on arrival. The item had dog/cat hair all over the case. I located some inside as well. The box looked reused and had tabs missing. For the price I expected new not used.

High quality but worth the high price?
I’ve been able to test and review at least a dozen various massage guns over the last 2-ish years. I was initially impressed by the range in cost with sizes and different tips, chargers, cases etc…This massager is easily the best I tried but also commends the biggest retail prices (currently $349). I haven’t run my cheap ones in the ground but I can say at all the sub-$100 prices you get a mixed bag but something in that range may still be worth it. I don’t use these daily to the point I’d be able to rigorously test the motor life and battery degradation but there are perks with this I truly like.Overall it’s solid quality and easily has the best massage tips for it. They feel like quality and some have some give and don’t look or feel like they are 3d printed. Also with the tips and this gun, they don’t just press in. They push in and twist slightly to lock them in place. Maybe this is normal with major brands over the $100 mark but I am not sure.I notice for the speeds this is easily has a range with higher (RPM?) cycles than other products I’ve tested. At this price I feel it’s a must that this is USB-C and not an older USB or some bulky and propriety charger. I’ve even tested a massage gun which was USB-C but the tip on the cable was extended as that company had a more recessed port that my standard cables wouldn’t work with. This massager is simple to use and doesn’t gave gimmicky LCD displays for speeds and battery and all. It’s very practical and simple to use. It feels solid and stable in hand and while it fits in a reasonable size case it’s handle and sizing over more abilities to reach behind you than smaller massage guns that come in same-sized cases.I will be registering my product for their lifetime warranty and while I can’t say I’ve had to file any claim, I was impressed they even offered this. I would hope so at this price point but again, I’ve tried many similar products and actually had 1 which flat out died. I think some of the internal electronics somehow fried and it wasn’t something I could easily determine how to fix.So this gives me plenty of peace of mind and perhaps if you wish to use these heavily and have a flexible budget, I’d recommend this product. If you are new to these massage guns or have a tight budget, you can find acceptable ones on Amazon for below $50 which you may find similar. The question is will they last the test of time like I think this one will and how this company stands behind it? Probably not. This to me seems like a case of spend more, buy less in a lifetime.
