Basically an IV drip for your face
These masks are incredible. They make my skin feel so glowy, plump, and deeply moisturized the next day. I struggle with dry skin at times, and this instantly brings relief. One time I had a full pool day and came home with tight, dry, chlorine-stressed skin, and this mask literally fixed it overnight. Really impressive mask! Good for mature skin.
I have used far more expensive facial masks similar to this one (with the exception of no snail mucin) and havenât had nearly the great results as I had with this after one use.Iâm 58 and although I have taken good care of my skin, Iâm still fighting fine lines and crepey skin especially around my eyes as well as redness and fine lines which are more pronounced in cold weather.I attached two images to show how effective this mask was in the areas of my concern: around eyes, eyelids, and you can see the redness in the first photo on my forehead, as well as general dryness (obviously there is no filter on these).Hereâs a few tips:Yes it can be challenging to get the mask out at first, but if you leave the packaging standing upright it helps keep the contents from dripping out.I found the mask to be a bit large near my hairline so using small fabric scissors I cut two pieces out in a half mood shape (itâs easy because the âmoonâ of the half moon is already there at the top of the mask).I used these small pieces on my eyelids (but was careful not to get any product in my eyes).I also cut slits into the mask near my inner eyes and any areas that gapped so it would lie flat.What I liked:pretty decent results after one use especially on mature skin.Enough serum left in packaging so you can carefully refold the mask, return it to the package, fold the edges over and secure with some paper clips and store in the fridge (note: I sanitized my face and hands so I could re use this in this way)Definitely plays well with other skin care and makeup.Gives a sheen/glow to the skin if you donât wear makeup but doesnât feel or seem oily.Although itâs only my first wearing of the mask I was pleasantly surprised to see my left eyelid was not as droopy as it normally is after removing the small eyelid patches.I also noticed my fine lines around my eyes were diminished.I left the remaining serum on my face, topped it off with Naturium Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum and a misting of Avene thermal spring water and then my everyday moisturizer (Cetaphil Rich Hydrating Cream).Then did my usual makeup. This is my normal routine with the exception of the mask.I think itâs a keeper for my mature skin.

Amazing Hydration, but a Bit Too Slimy with Excess Essence
The COSRX Snail Mucin Sheet Mask is one of the most hydrating masks Iâve ever used. My skin feels so soft and plump after each use, and it gives me that dewy glow I absolutely love. The snail mucin is great for boosting moisture and repairing skin, which makes this sheet mask perfect for anyone dealing with dry or dull skin.However, I did find that thereâs almost too much essence in each maskâso much that it tends to drip and get a bit messy. While I appreciate the extra hydration, it feels like a lot of it goes to waste, and the texture is definitely on the slimy side. I wish they could balance the amount of mucin better to avoid that overly sticky feeling.Despite that, the results are worth it, and I usually pat in any extra essence on my neck and arms, so itâs not completely wasted. Overall, if youâre looking for an intensely moisturizing mask, this one will definitely do the trickâjust be prepared for a little slime overload.

I am new to this Korean skincare/beauty brand, but had read several glowing reviews, especially about the Snail Mucin Sheet Mask, I decided to give it a go.Up front, the mask is slimy which shouldnât come as a shock given its main ingredient (96%) is the slimy secretion produced by snails. Best not to think about that, and no, snails are not harmed to extract the slime.Downside: Because the mask is slippery, it can be tricky to apply, and there is a lot of mucin, so much so, I apply the extra to my arms and hands. Even so, it can feel a tad sticky, but there is very little scent.Upside: One of the most hydrating, moisture boosting masks Iâve used, and my skin really does feel soft and look brighter afterwards.Sheets come in packs of ten and I think the cost is reasonable and the results, very good. I use the mask either at night before bed, or before an event to brighten and plump my skin.
