For Any Hair Type, Start with Small Amount on Damp Hair
I have salt-n-pepper 50-something curly hair, and this product helps it to stay soft, shiny, and fuzz-free. A small dime-sized amount of this product worked into my freshly shampooed and conditioned hair works wonders! It doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy, smells good, but not overpowering. I can put it on dry hair, but I avoid the scalp to avoid creating a greasy look. I like that it’s not too heavy. Think cream, not custard. It doesn’t weigh down my curls. I think it would work for most hair types and be a great asset to those with curls who like to style with a diffuser or air-dry their locks. I think it would work for those with thin hair, but use very little at a time until you find the “just right” for you. Highly recommend this stuff as it really works to make older hair act and feel like it is much younger.

Great for my wavy hair
I’ve been using this leave-in conditioner sporadically for about two years now, but I’m starting to incorporate it into my daily and after-wash routines because of how well it works. I have medium length, medium thick wavy hair that can curl in the right situations. I apply a liberal amount of this CC cream to my wet and brushed hair, and allow to air dry. The results speak for themselves: my hair looks shiny, hydrated, my curls are defined and look lush. It’s really incredible. My hair is naturally very dry and it absorbs this product really well. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make my hair greasy, however I will say I do have to wash my hair sooner than I would have with no product in it at all. 10/10, can’t recommend this cream enough.

Great hydration for dry ends.
Best product I have found to keep the ends of hair extensions hydrated and healthy. I apply to the ends every night and by morning it has absorbed. No oily feeling in the morning. I apply after washing too! Will definitely buy again.

Great product for fine hair
I’ve been using this product for at least 2 years at the advice of my hairdresser. I have fine hair strands that tend to curl in an ugly limp way if left to dry on its own. I use no more than the size of a pea in my palm and work it completely through all of my wet hair after shampooing then blow dry it with a round brush. My hair ends up having fullness, lift, shine and smoothness. It used to frizz up in humid weather and the frizzies have vanished. I would recommend this product, but for fine hair, chin length, use no more than pea size. It won’t weigh your hair down or make it oily. I have 100% gray hair and it brings out a nice shine.

The formula has changed. It is not as dense as it was before. Also, the tube is a different size, but still says 3.4 oz. The goop seems to work as before.

Excellent for detangling
I have fine, dry, color treated hair that is thinning as I get older. Experts advise keeping after-shampoo conditioning products off the scalp, applying from the mid-shaft to the ends only in order to get lift and volume. This is difficult, if not impossible to do if your hair is fine, thin and shorter or layered. I now shampoo my hair and skip the cream rinse/conditioner completely. Instead, I wrap my soaking wet hair in a Turbie Twist right out of the shower without any combing or brushing (which ALWAYS rips out some hair, regardless). After 10-20 minutes, I remove the towel and gently shake out my hair, which is 50-75% dry by then. I then squeeze a small amount of Alterna Caviar CC Cream out into the palm of one hand and rub my hands together to spread out the cream. I can then easily apply the cream to only the ends of my hair. I usually apply a little to the front, too, since that’s the area that takes the most heat & stress when styling. I then use a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle my damp hair starting at the ends and working up to the scalp in small sections. The CC cream makes this so easy and painless and helps with styling and shine as well. I then apply any other products I like to style my hair (heat protectant, root lift, volume mousse, etc.).

Just a tiny amount of this cream spread through my hair after washing and it turns into healthy looking , shiny ( not greasy) hair. My hair ,which had suddenly turned dry and coarse…has been transformed. I only use a small amount so it will last ages!!! Very pleased.
