WEST PAC 94
USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 – I was an Airman on that deployment and remember it very well. I miss the travel. Discovery did a nice job, but wish they would have interviewed more crew members and made it into a series documentary. Still a nice shot of the real-life Navy. PBS did a similar documentary with “Carrier (USS Nimitz)”. The Navy was a GREAT crash course on the ups and downs of life in general (service before self) – something this country could use more of in my opinion.
