Excellent HOLD without the FLAKES
Iâve tried a lot of edge controls over the years, and Bask & Lather Strong Hold Edge Control is definitely one of my favorites! It lays my edges down smoothly and keeps them in place all day without any flaking or buildup. The texture is thick but not greasy, and a little goes a long way. I also love that it doesnât leave my hair feeling hard, crunchy or dry â it holds firm while still looking natural. Plus, it smells amazing and feels nourishing it works well on my natural hair texture, even in humidity.

I tried some Bask and Lather from my niece and it worked. I have very course hair âNappyâ and the effectiveness of the product was superb, it hold down my hair, It smelled good, not sticky. There was no shine, that was ok because I was not looking for shine, just hold. Good Product.

Get it!
This is the first edge control that has actually held my edges down. I have sandy brown hair with gold edges that tend to be unruly and curl right back up. This was not the case with this edge control. I didnt even set it for a full day and still had great results. And I did not have a greasy forehead or heavy flaking days later. Worth the purchase especially my natural hair girlies.

Tried, not true
This product kept being suggested by social media and I ordered it on a Prime day. IMO it performs like a typical edge control. I have had to apply it daily. The claim that it is reactivate by water has not been proven by my use. Tying down edges helps keep it in place but the effectiveness is not all day. I walk 1.5 miles during my lunch and my hair is frizzy and not slick by mid walk. There are others that have worked better for me. Iâm glad I got it at a discount. 1 plus is a little does go a long way and applying to damp hair gives a ripple / wavy look (depending on hair type). Maybe it would perform best on dry hair. It gives a bit âgreasyâ and leaves hair sticky. No flaking experienced in my use. Note: I have about 4-5 different hair textures on my 1 head with fine, spring curls type around the perimeter getting courser and thicker towards the middle.

Smooths unruly hairs down
I only tested this out on a small patch of hair first to see if it had a good hold. A little definitely goes a long way. I think once you let it dry a bit, it has really good hold. I feel like you get a good amount for the price.I have curly hair and my sideburns can get a little wild. It really laid them down. My patch test did last quite a while, almost a full day if I hadnât messed with it. But I do think it needs to dry a little after application to last all day.Itâs a bigger container than I thought and there was a good amount of product in there. I think it will last a while. Itâs not greasy to me. Again, a little goes a long way. Best to apply to clean hair for best results. If you put this on top of a bunch of other products already in your hair, it most likely will flake.I will give it more time itâs only been a day. But definitely try it for yourself.

Great for slicking down 3c curls in humidity, but leaves residue
I have 3c curls, and this is the only product that keeps my hair slicked down and laid all dayâeven in Floridaâs intense humidity. It works wonders for ponytails and buns, and a little goes a long way. The hold is amazing without feeling super stiff.The only downside is that once it dries, it can leave a white residue that looks like dandruff by the end of the day. I still use it often because the hold is unbeatable, but I wish it had a cleaner finish.

Best edge control that Iâve personally tried.
The only edge control I use. I lay my edges with it and even slick my parts to braid my hair too. Styles are laid every time. I donât experience white residue unless I have another product in my hair that I forget to wipe off and doesnât mix well with it.Washes out just fine, scent is bareable, and to me worth the money.
