How Did We Get Our Start?
Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

The best sunscreen
The Best sunscreen I have used with no harsh chemicals. Badger sunscreens contain non-nano zinc oxide. I only apply once a day and I have fair skin and I’m out in the sun all day. It has never lost its potency . Not even after 8 hours of sweating.

Great Brand! Great Products!
This is my 2nd order. I love the product and the ingredients used. Very creamy. I use the Bug Balm also and the mosquito spray. The mosquito spray was not my favorite because the spray didn’t come out easy for some reason. But I love the Balm. The Bug Balm goes on smooth and has loud scent but I understand that is the ingredient that the bugs hate. Works great at keeping mosquitoes away.

I have very light skin and get burned easily; with this sunscreen I’ve gone to the beach several times and come back with no burns at all! It’s easy to use and doesn’t get in your eyes. Great sunscreen.

Easy on the eyes! Excellent product.
Outstanding! Most sunscreens are very irritating to my eyes even if they donât get into my eyes. Badger doesnât bother my eyes AT ALL and it stays in place. Itâs a balm so heavier feeling but I will never use anything else. I wear it every day and Iâm outside a lot. No issues with sunburn.

I really appreciate the healthful concern as related to this new type of sunscreen. I purchased three or four of these products of the same badger brand and took on a recent vacation and they seemed very well able to protect from sunburn. This one comes in a can like shoe polish used to and is almost a solid. The product that comes in the tube was a lot easier for regular use. This packaging might be helpful for a small applications to the face. Not to say that there doesnât seem to be a lot in this can, but itâs not so easy to remove enough of it to use on large areas like arms and legs.

Pros: good sun protection, not drying or chalky on the skin, minimal white cast. Cons: very greasy, will leave skin feeling sticky, doesnât layer well under makeup.

Feels great on the skin
This sun balm sunscreen product goes on so easily and feels so light on the skin, the first time I used it I was uncertain Iâd applied enough. I had. It worked great during my three hour Jetski ride. I canât emphasize enough how good this feels on the skin with no mucky greasy feel AT ALL.Iâve been using the Badger cream in a tube and while it works great as sunscreen, one certainly knows itâs on the skin. This is just the opposite. Itâs a small can, but itâs well worth the price.
