Must have shower accessory – game changer!
I will never, ever go back to a wimpy, disgusting loofah.Enter the African net sponge. These are washable, reusable, and last a really long time. They lather up beautifully and can easily be used to scrub *everything*, including your back, in between your toes, and all up in your business. The texture of these is such that it will exfoliate, but not scrape up and damage your skin. It’s very satisfying to lather one up and scrub scrub scrub; your skin comes out so soft!Despite showering daily and having “good” hygiene, I have spent my whole life suffering from acne, itching, redness, dryness, eczema, and chronic skin problems. Like many women, I’ve blamed all of those issues on being allergic to soap and sensitive to fragrance, when the truth is this. I wasn’t exfoliating properly, I wasn’t moisturizing properly, and ultimately, I wasn’t getting clean.Since I started using an African net sponge, all of those problems have gone away. I lather up with a good quality moisturizing body wash (usually Dove) and scrub everything. Then I will either use a sugar scrub OR do a second scrub using the net sponge with a smell-good body wash (my current favorite is from Trader Joes). Double cleansing + exfoliation, followed up with instant moisture (lotion or body oil WHILE You are still wet) is a game changer.I would be remiss not to mention that I learned about this from Black women! They know what’s up!Do not mistake this for a loofah or other type of fabric scrub. You want the real deal. Loofahs harbor bacteria (because they never dry out), and knockoffs don’t have the same properties when it comes to exfoliation. African Net Sponges have large loops, are very long and stretchy, fully dry between uses, and can go in the washing machine.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I normally use a natural loofah, which I still love, but wanted to switch it up with my shower routine. I read about African Net Sponges and decided to go for this one. Be careful, as you need to make sure they are authentic and that is how they are designed/created. I LOVE this product as it exfoliates my skin so well, it’s long enough so I can scrub my back, and it holds my product well so I can lather everything on. My Loofah would often absorb the product, so I needed to add more. It is authentic, comes with 2 sponges and a travel bag. Also, I love how quickly it dries overnight. My routine with/ the sponge: First, an antibacterial soap (Dial) & then a good-smelling body wash to finish. My skin feels so smooth when I am done, and then I lotion up, and it is chef’s kiss!Â

I’m a total convert – won’t be without one again!
This is life-changing! My skin has literally never felt so good as it did after the first time using one of these, and it gets better every time I use it! I went down the “black girl shower tok” rabbit hole in the clock app, and learned that this was a must have. Found this set of 2 for a GREAT price and hoped they would be authentic and made well. I was not disappointed! This is knotted material that is not the plastic mesh that your normal shower puffs are made from. It’s stretchy, but also durable. You can reach everywhere on your body with this- long enough to get your back easily. Your soap will lather up nicely, and it dries completely between showers, and doesn’t hold onto any residue after rinsing. It exfoliates wonderfully! I think I was most shocked by what it did for my heels! Gentle enough to use everywhere, and course enough to make every inch of you literally squeaky clean! Follow with a great lotion and body oil and you’re going to have the softest skin you’ve ever had in your life!

My Fiancé and I have been wanting to get a pair for a while, and they are wonderful! They look and feel authentic and donât get dirty like most loofas you use. Thatâs what surprised me the most!! I love this! Itâs so well made.i use it daily! Creates a sizing with my body washes. Leaves my skin feeling so soft and extremely clean. I am sore to rinse it under hot water and wing to remove excess/residual soap and leave it to air dry. Had no smell when I opened it and was vibrantly colored as pictured!
