I used it as soon as I got it earlier this evening and I love it. I make caramels during the holidays and this is a huge improvement over my old digital thermometer. The display is big and easy to read. Not that I anticipate needing it much but the backlight is bright and adds an easy to read contrast. Like I said I’ve only used it once but it seems accurate. I got the temp numbers I was expecting once the caramel started to boil. The included pot clip is solid and kept the thermometer in place while I cooked. The only complaint I have and it’s not a deal breaker is that the backlight button seems real sensitive . It seemed like it didn’t take much to accidentally turn the light on. A worthwhile investment if you are looking for a thermometer that is easy to read. If you know anyone that has a hard time seeing and likes to cook, this is perfect for them.

Adjustable head and large number display makes for easy reading
This is the first really good candy thermometer Iâve ever used. The clip holds the thermometer solidly in place, and the easy to read numbers on the adjustable head ensure accurate reading. Glad I got it!

I love this thermometer. Very accurate, long lasting battery, long probe, clamp comes in handy.I whip out this awesome thermometer all the time. Making sure Chicken is done, using âwarmâ water to activate yeast, tempering eggs, checking if baked goods are cooked through.I havenât even tried using it for candy yet, amazing for deep frying without a deep fryer though.

So far so good! I made several batches of soy wax melts and this thermometer kept an accurate temperature with the convenient alarm being a bonus, which flashes red when your desired temperature is reached, there is no audible sound but it’s visually is seen.I would not recommend that anyone that is melting wax use a thermal temp gun because the accuracy of the temperature will be off. The thermal gun only measures surface temperature, not the internal temperature of the wax.Molten wax can have uneven temperatures and may only capture spot readings, especially if you are trying to get a reading from a stainless steel melting pot, trial and error will teach you that to get the best fragrance throw and bind to the fragrance oil scents is by accurate temperature of wax, it’s imperative that you have an accurate temperature reading of the wax at both its highest temperature and it’s cooling down temperature to add the fragrances you like.This Thermopro thermometer will ensure you have an accurate reading I am very happy with my purchase.
