Better than soak-off gel base coats
I got this set mostly because I wanted to use the peel-off base coat. I am not a fan of doing soak-off with gel so I gave this a try.I tested this with gel-x nails. I used 1 coat of the peel-off base coat & that worked great. I like to change my nails, so after 1 week, I was able to use some cuticle cutters to sort of pry the edges of the gel-x nail off until the whole nail completely peeled off. My natural nails did not get damaged in the process although it did hurt a little bit lolThe 2nd time I tried the peel-off base coat, I used 2 thin coats. Doing this made the removal process easier – Iâm not sure why but moving forward I will use 2 coats if Iâm going to apply gel-x nails.I canât speak on longevity because I change my nails on an almost weekly basis but so far no chipping has occurred while I have both base & top coat on.Top coat worked very well too. Left a nice, glossy smooth finish. Having both this peel-off gel base coat & top coat set is great value for your money!

GREAT FUNCTIONALITY for an aspiring nail artist
Functionality:As someone who likes to do my own nails, my least favorite part about doing gel nails is having to file and do soak offs when it is time to change my nail designs. I got suggested online to use a peel off base coat so I can change it without having to damage my nails. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Beetles is always very reliable and a good amount of my gel nail polish is Beetles brand so I knew that it should be well tested and well used. It functions as needed and I can peel it off when the time comes. In order for me to have the longest retention, I will use a nail primer + dehydrator, regular gel base coat, cure, builder gel, cure again, top coat, cure, THIS ITEM- the peel off base coat, cure, color, cure, then top coat. I get 2+ weeks of retention with this, yet I can take it off as I wish with cuticle oil/warm water+ soap and using a metal nail pusher to scrape under and the polish will come off together. If I only use this item + nail color, then it usually only lasts 7-10 days before the edges start peeling off to which I would just pick it off.

My favorite gel top coat to date!
I really enjoy this top coat. Application comes out super glossy and shiny and smooth. No chipping or scuffing so your nails always stay crisp and shiny and protected. I love this two pack deal and it think itâs a great price on something I already know I enjoy. This gel cures quickly and is wipe free. Itâs super easy to use and gets the job done. Iâd definitely recommend for a beginner nail tech!

Top Coat
I love Bettles stuff, and I got the top coat. It does have a light chemical smell to it. The bottle size is medium amount, but the quality is very high. It is easy to use and it does make your nails shine. This product is worth the money in my opinion, and I recommened it.

Great base
I love this base coat from Beetles! The texture is smooth and easy to apply, it adheres perfectly to my nails and creates a great base for my favorite polish. It has helped me extend the wear of my polish and prevent staining on my nails. Plus, it’s free of harsh chemicals and has a pleasant scent. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that it dries a bit slow, but overall, I’m really happy with this product. Highly recommend!

Good and not damaging to my nails
This is good for short term nail wear. I like to change my polish every 4-5 days so this was perfect for that without having to do a long soak off. I was able to pull the corner up and pull it off without a problem. Itâs dried and cured like normal gel. Easy to remove and cool concept since we want to peel our gel polish anyway. Lol

Long lasting, easy removal
I love this peel off gel base coat! I use nail dehydrator first, then apply this, dry for 90 seconds under a UV cure light, and use Beetles gel polish. It has a good “shelf life” (usually at least a week before it starts lifting) and is very easy to take off by soaking your hands in warm, soapy water for about 5 minutes. It will typically peel off in one-two pieces. Be sure you really dry the gel polish on top of it (at least 60 seconds per layer, 90 is better) because that can impact the ability to get it off. But overall, this is a great product. Recommend it highly.
