Customers say
Customers find the mouth guard easy to use, with clear instructions and straightforward molding process. The fit, durability, comfort, functionality, and value for money receive mixed reviews – while some find it comfortable and well-made, others report it falling apart after a few weeks and being too thick. The moldability aspect is also mixed, with some successfully molding it to their teeth while others report it wouldn’t mold correctly.

Great way to save money and avoid being ripped off by your dentist!
I have been using this product for a decade or more, and it just gets better with each improvement. My first dental guard was custom-made by my dentist for a lot of money ($100s, as I recall), and it lasted maybe a year. I decided that was way too much to pay, so I got one of these for around $20. I can now use them for over a year before they wear out. They fit tight and donât bother you at all when you sleep. The formed part does eventually detach from the the flexible plastic outer guard, but that process takes months to complete, and you can still use it till it completely separates. The key is to brush it thoroughly every time you brush your teeth, so it stays clean and sanitary. You can ignore the “donât wear any longer than 6 months” advice, unless you have some peculiar dental problems. I donât, other than bruxism (teeth grinding). One tip: before you heat the new mouth guard and insert it into your teeth, practice a couple of time to make sure you align it properly. I heat it on the stove in water rather than using the microwave, just because I trust that more.Second tip: when youâve heated the mouth guard properly (follow all the instructions), and are ready to stick it in your mouth, donât bite down too hard and also leave just a little bit of room in front of your front teeth for some of the silicone to remain there as you bear down with your bite. If you bite down too hard you will hit the flexible plastic outer guard, and that will weaken the bond of the silicone to the outer guard, shortening the life of you mouth guard considerably. Remember that most of the grinding and wear come from your back teeth, so you want a bit more “cushion” back there than in the front, so think of biting down with more pressure on your front teeth than on your back teeth. I know that sounds weird, but practice it a little, and you will see what I mean.Third tip: once you have bitten down on the new mouth guard, maintain your bite until the directions say to let loose, and very slowly remove the guard from your teeth. It will want to stick at first, and you donât want to yank crowns off as you remove it. If necessary, swish a little water around in your mouth and then ease the guard off your teeth. If things donât work the first time, you can try one more time, but the mouth guard will probably not last as long or fit quite as well, so get it right the first time! Practice!

Works great for me (clench teeth & CPAP user)
For the price and my needs it works great. I learned recently that I clench my teeth when I sleep. I had a tiny fracture in one of my teeth that started this discussion and then started waking up with jaw pain and headaches. Instead of paying a few hundred I thought Iâd try this out first. If it doesnât work, no harm done.I followed the instructions pretty closely and was able to get a solid impression just using my phones selfie mode camera to see if the mold was positioned ok. I do have a small mouth but the guard itself is fairly small. It does not cover my back molars (wisdom teeth were removed) but it does the trick. I only use one guard for the top.I also sleep with a CPAP (nose) and find no issues with using a mouth guard and now no stress about clenching my teeth. I do not think Iâm a heavy clencher and do not grind my teeth so I canât speak to the toughness bc if my issue was more serious Iâd put some serious money into it. So with my situation and size of mouth, this product worked great.

Great bang for your $16â¯ââ¯almost dentistâgrade fit!
Iâve been grinding my teeth at night for years, and after waking up with jaw pain too often, I decided to try the DenTek ProfessionalâFit Dental Guard. The boil-and-bite molding process was straightforward thanks to the clear 3-step instructions (heat, shape, wear) and a fitting tray that really helps get a snug fit.â What I Loved:* Comfort & protection â The soft top layer is comfy, and the strong bottom shields molars well. I wake up with significantly less soreness or tooth sensitivity.* Value â At around $16, itâs a solid alternative to a custom guard that costs hundreds. The 6âmonth warranty and BPA-free EVA material are nice bonuses.â ï¸ A Few Quibbles:* Tricky mold timing â My first mold was slightly off; I had to carefully follow the hot water timing and re-mold once.* Size & fit â Itâs meant for upper teeth only, and people with smaller mouths might need to trim it beforehand.ð Bottom Line:If you grind moderately and want dentist-level fit without the price tag, this DenTek guard is worth it. Itâs comfortable, cost-effective, and does the jobâjust be patient when molding and trim if needed.

Iâve been struggling with teeth grinding for years to have reached to the level where I would wake up and have to remove broken teeth parts from my mouth. I couldnât eat for one hour after waking up because of the grinding all night.Today this product has arrived then I slept after I got it. It was a sleep to remember.Highly recommend if you have teeth grinding problems.

TenÃa miedo de que no me saliera pero me quedó bien a la primera. Muy fácil de usar y buen precio pues en el dentista es más caro

I have tried sooo many different mouth guards for my TMJ and teeth grinding. This is by far the BEST one I’ve used. The bottom is thick and firm and the top is soft. The size is perfect for me (40 and a mouth the size of a kid). I especially love the fitting tray, it makes it a little easier to mold the guard.

I had paid £800 for the dentist version and it was fine until I had a crown fitted. Then it was very uncomfortable and caused pressure which I believe eventually cracked that tooth. Therefore started looking for cheaper options and this one had good reviews (outside Amazon). It was easy to fit and feels very comfortable. I expect it will work for a longer period than the expensive version from dentist because you can adjust it should your teeth change shape.
