Trained my dog to sit by me
I have a pit bull in training that just falls too much into his impulses. I got this to train him so there’s no trouble outside. It has a beeper, vibration, and a shock. You can use each setting to train the dog. Before the collar, on walks he would pull and lounge at other dogs. Since using it, I got the dog to learn to come and sit next to me while on walks. I achieved this with the vibration setting. Collar is adjustable. Charging for both the remote and collar is provided. Everything works as described!

    Very effective
We have a French Bulldog that has a mind of his own. We live in a rural setting surrounded by large trees and bushes. Our dog has developed a love of following deer sent and various other distractions. When he is in that frame of mind he totally tunes you out and his objective is all that matters. He would disappear and then the search was on to try and locate him and get him back into the house. I purchased the training collar as a last resort in an effort to get him to listen and respond to my commands. When the device arrived the instructions were very simple to understand and follow. I adjusted all of the settings to be about mid range. I put the collar on him and we went outside for a potty. It did not take long for him to follow his normal routine and began to trot of away from the house. I whistled and called his name and no response as was normal. I whistled again and pressed the first alarm button on the hand held device. There was no visible response. I whistled again and pressed the second alarm for the vibration on the hand held device. Again there was no visible response. I whistled a third time and then pressed the third button on the hand held device for shock. This time his response was immediate. He jumped straight in the air as if he had shot, but still did not respond to my calling him. I whistled again and pressed the shock button again and immediately got the same jump in the air reaction. This time when I whistled he turned and looked at me and ran back to me immediately.Later that evening I took him out again for his evening potty break. He began to wonder off as was expected. I whistled and no response. I pressed the first button on the hand held device. I noticed a reaction from him, but he kept going. I whistled again and pressed the second button on the hand held device for vibration. This time he immediately stopped and ran back to the house.Even though we are early in the training process, I can see that this training collar is going to be effective and very beneficial. One note, this is not a device to hurt or punish the dog, but when used correctly, it is a very useful and effective way to train a non response dog. After owning this for a month, I want to add to this review.I really should have ordered this sooner. Since the initial time of using the actual shock feature, I have never had to shock again. I have been able to work with our French Bulldog ( who is very opinionated by the way) and now when I give him a little whistle, he comes running back to me.I started by whistling then pressing the first button on the hand held unit. He began to associate the whistle with something more aggressive was coming next. He began to just come back after the initial whistle.I still put the collar on every time he goes outside whether I am with him or not. Sometimes in the morning when it is dark, he goes outside alone to perform his morning constitutional. So far, if he does not return in an expected amount of time, I open the door and whistle and he runs to the doorThis purchase is probably one of the best things I have ever done to eliminate the frustration of a hard headed, over excited, extremely enthusiastic and very fun loving dog.Again I want to emphasize, this is not a tool to cause harm in any way to your dog, it is strictly for training purposes only.If used correctly, both you and your dog will be much happier.

  3. BeemerPilot

Very effective and easy to use.
I live in NW Montana and bought this training collar mostly to stop my young dog, Beemer, from barking at and/or chasing deer that lived here before I built my house and live here with me now on my 20 acre property. I also put out water in a tub for the deer, birds and ground squirrels because there isn’t a water source of any kind close by. I often let Beemer out for long periods of time so he can get plenty of exercise running and exploring. Unfortunately, he was scaring the deer, playing in their water tub and getting muddy while splashing the water out and leaving what was left muddy. This collar is well designed and constructed, easy to use, has great range and the 3 functions (beep, vibrate or shock) can be easily tailored to the appropriate level for the pet and purpose. I have found it to be very effective in breaking some of Beemer’s bad habits that would have otherwise been almost impossible to do or would have taken much longer. Now I can watch him from a window as he explores the area and plays with sticks he finds on the ground. It didn’t take long for me to catch him in the act and then use one of the functions to stop him in his tracks and come back to the house. Beemer has stopped barking at and/or chasing the local deer. He also won’t go near the water tub. I have seen him lying on the pavement and watching the deer graze not very far away. Some of the deer still won’t come around while he’s out, but several of them have decided that he is not a threat and will graze with him visibly present. If he stands up, they will probably be alarmed, but if I’m watching, I can give him a quick beep or vibration and he will immediately turn around and walk back to the house. I believe at least some of the deer and Beemer will eventually be able to be in the same area without any alarm and they and the other animals now have a reliable source of water…at least until the ice and snow cause it to freeze.Another benefit of the collar demonstrated itself this morning as I was at my kitchen window. Beemer was playing with a stick on the concrete apron in front of the garage when he suddenly broke into a full-speed run with the hair on his back standing straight up. I immediately pulled the remote out of my shirt pocket as I looked ahead of Beemer to see what he was chasing and saw that he was quickly gaining ground on a resident fox that I have seen many times. I immediately started pressing the vibration and shock buttons as he disappeared into the woods out of sight. Beemer is pretty strong-willed and I was concerned that I might not be able to stop him, but a couple of seconds later he emerged from the woods and was trotting back toward the house with the fox, now the pursuer, following him. But the fox was apparently confused when Beemer suddenly turned and started running back toward home and initially decided to chase him. But then, as if giving the situation more thought, it wisely peeled off and scampered back into the woods toward safety. Beemer (a mixed Golden/Lab) is faster, larger and stronger than the fox. I have no doubt that Beemer would have caught up with the fox since, in just seconds, he was only inches from the fox’s tail when I pulled the remote from my pocket. The fox would have just as surely fought back since he would literally be fighting for his life.If Beemer had not been wearing the collar and I had not been standing at the window, I believe the likely result would have been a dead fox and a seriously lacerated dog that would have spent some painful time with a vet this morning. I had previously realized that the collar could possibly be used as a safety device to remove a threat in an emergency. Beemer has always turned and ran toward home immediately after being alerted, regardless of which function I used and there may be times when that propensity would be important.

    Great electric dog collar
We’ve been using this collar for about 2 years now. Works as well (if not better) than our previous $200 Garmin collar for a fraction of the price and lasted much longer so far. Charges easily overnight and is ready to go, although only needs to be charged maybe once a week. I really like the wide range of settings – we rarely use the “shock” mode but the “vibration” mode is a good deterrent and the “ringer” signals our dog it’s time to come in. I would definitely purchase again and highly recommend! Great product!

    Works well. Extremely satisfied.
Couldn’t recommend more. This works so well! Great training device. There are 3 options to get the dogs attention1. Beep2. Vibrate3. ShockWe never use the shock, it’s not even needed. The beep gets our dog’s attention alone. The charge lasts a long time. The collar has never seemed to bother our dog, he’s always acted comfortable while wearing it.

We’ve had our puppy for about 3 and half month before I decided to get this. He generally listens when being called, but the odd times when neighboring dogs come over or squirrels, he just forgets everything and all the training goes out the window. With the neighbors dogs, he ends up in swamps and full of burrs. I love our puppy, and this is expected behavior for living out in the country, but still nightmare scenario. With this collar, we are back in control, he can roam free underwatch, and with a bit of training, I don’t even need to reach the shock level. He responds with just a single beep. It’s also nice to use to walk with him, as he has tendencies to wander off for short periods, but this keeps his wandering in check. I love this, and I wish I would have bought it from day one, so much anxiety I would have saved. Recommended to every carring dog owner. It’s got 8 levels of sound, 16 levels of vibrate, and 99 levels of chock… I’d give this 5 starrs as all the needed options are available as needed. Here is an update after seriously going through the same stuff over and over. While the shock collar is excellent to control the dog at 99% of the time, the other 1 percent is when the neighbor dog shows up and he keeps runing off with her, the shock collar makes no difference. He takes the shock like it’s nothing. I tried it on myself at level 30 and my hand almost went numb. So it works… I just don’t know if it will deviate your dog from doing what you don’t want him/her to do… so it works on all cases except for runing of with the neighbors dog(which is my case, and not to say you’ll have the same issue)… only one thing left to do, is going back to the neighbor and ask them again for the 100’s time to keep their dog off my lot. Good luck if you have the same issues.

Our family dog is a large, 88-pound Afghan-Golden Doodle mix known for stubbornness. Initially used a PetSpy training collar but dissatisfied as its tone and vibration are too weak, even at maximum levels. Switched to the Bousnic collar, which offers a very loud beeping tone with variations and a strong vibrate function with multiple levels. The tone feature effectively captures our Doodle’s attention, instantly stopping unwanted behavior. The vibrate function works well in recalling him when he doesn’t come on first recall command. Although I haven’t used the shock feature on him, I tested it on myself at level 5 out of 99, and it would definitely grab his attention without causing harm. I wouldn’t recommend using it at a higher level unless your dog is an extra large breed or has . Overall, the Bousnic collar significantly improves training effectiveness and unwanted behaviour. This unit is excellent for small, medium, large, and extra large dogs or possible aggressive behavior in dogs.I highly recommend this product.PROS:- 3 modes with separate levels for each mode- highly effective- light weight and not bulky- good response from animal- transmits effectively over a considerable rangeCONS:- Collar strap buckles may seem questionable, but functional

I bought this for my 14 lb Shipoo few months back and could not be happier. I have since recommended this to many dog owners to buy but I see that most don’t know how to effectively use it so I wanted to add a little direction here which others may find useful.1. Read the instructions manual in how to setup the system2. Once the system is setup, test it to ensure it is in working condition (ensure your dog is NOT wearing the collar when you are testing the functions)3. There are normally 3 buttons on the controller:a. Sound – this will just beep when pressed to get your dog distracted form what he/she was doing and pay attention to what you are asking.b. Buzz – this is a vibration produced based on the number you have set on your controller. This is the second level attention getter.c. Zap – this sends a very low voltage and harmless electric zap. This resembles the head of the pack biting the neck of a pack-mate to let them know who the boss is. This is to be used rarely when you want to make a permanent impact.4. Once you know the collar is in working order, place it on the dog’s neck,5. Starting with the lowest setting (sound), in a confined area at home (within a room), issue a command and activate the sound. For example: Come and then the sound. At this point I would even have a leash ready if the dog is young and not familiar with the command, and for the first couple of times I would reinforce the sound and command by pulling the leash, until the action is no longer required. If your dog is already familiar with the command, this becomes easier as you are trying to connect the sound to the command. Treats are normally also another way of getting his/her attention. You can even make the sound to be a treat command.6. If the dog remains unresponsive to the sound, after three sounds, use the buzz. Do this consistently. Meaning always three sounds (you can decide what number is right for you, but be consistent) before a buzz. At this point the dog will understand that the payoff is higher if the command is not followed.7. The Zap is used rarely if you feel the dog will be harmed if he does not respond to the command. The recall command is one of the most important commands we need to concentrate on. I have used Zap for example when the very first time my dog tried to eat goose poop. Since then, she will only sniff and walk on and never touch it as the price is too high. The Zap also needs to be set based on your dogs coat and size. Heavier the coat higher the degree as they may not even feel it if you set it on low.8. Make sure to set boundaries as soon as you can and when they are very young as this would last their lifetime. Each button on the controller can be used for as many commands as you want to set. For example, I use the sound for: wait, come back or the buzz for: don’t touch, don’t go there, avoid, leave it, drop it. The Zap is set to one command: Danger/No9. Once the dog is completely familiar with the collar, try him/her out in the whole house or in the yard before trying to use the collar in a public area where there are many distractions. Try walking with the dog off leash and ensuring the messages are properly received.10. Consistency is the key. Pay attention to the dog at all times and use the command regularly to ensure effectiveness. Not being consistent will mean you need to start the process over again and will prove to be time consuming, frustrating and ineffective.11. Do not press the controller keys few seconds after the dog has done something, it needs to be done exactly at the time of the action.12. Do not press the buttons to test and see if it is working, while the dog is wearing the collar. Always test the collar first thing before you put it on the dog.13. Finally and most importantly, if you are stressed, so will be the dog. When the owners are relaxed, the dog is also relaxed.14. If you yell at the dog, this comes across as a game, I bark, you yell, let’s go.Hope this helps.

I had a similar product previously but the clips holding the collar on broke and rendered the unit useless. After some research I decided on this unit. It had much better clips than the other and has held up nicely. The Bousnic unit has a LCD display for the mode and battery strength, an on/off slider switch (which seems backwards to me) and a 1/2 collar selection for 2 collars, it also has tone, vibration and e-stim. Various levels of each can be set easily and independently. The vibration is strong. The tone actually seems to change tone rather than just volume. Some of the lower levels are very hard to hear. The e-stim has a wide range of levels too and worked well. I seldom use e-stim and recently noticed the dog did not respond to it. I checked the unit on myself and thought the stim was weak. I thought I could feel it more set in the 20s than I could in the 70s. A light on the bottom of the unit flashes green when tone or vibration is triggered. It flashes red with the e-stim. I will be in contact with the seller to see if this is normal.UPDATE: I messaged amazon customer service and they forwarded the info to the supplier. They said i should hear something in a few days. 2 days later a package arrives at my door. A replacement collar was inside. Hats off to Bousnic for the great customer service and the replacement. Overall I would give 4.5 stars for this product and service. Thank you Bousnic!
