CONQUER TOUCH-UPS – Root Touch-Up Kit is a permanent way to tackle roots between salon visits. Developed with salon professionals, this at-home kit uses low ammonia, permanent crème hair color to cover up to one inch of root growth.
100% GRAY COVERAGE – Available in six shades that blend seamlessly into your base hair color, Root Touch-Up Kit also covers grays perfectly. This product is not intended for all-over hair color, drastic color changes or to lighten hair.
FIND YOUR SHADE – We recommend choosing the shade closest to your natural root color by using the images associated with each permanent shade. Do not go lighter when selecting a kit or experiment with other shades and colors.
FAIL PROOF – Our simple, step-by-step instructions make the process easy to learn and apply. Plus, the box unfolds into a workstation! Stubborn grays? Process for an additional 5-15 minutes.
WHAT’S INCLUDED – Everything you need for two applications: permanent hair color, developer color activator, mixing bowl (2), gloves (2), processing cap (2), hair color applicator brush, and Color Fresh Shampoo & Conditioner samples.
HEALTHY COLOR CARE – This formula is Leaping Bunny Certified, and free of parabens, SLS, and SLES sulfates. It’s safe for all hair types, including color-treated hair.
Customers say
Customers find the hair color seamlessly blends with natural hair and provides professional results, with one noting it feels like a salon experience. The product is simple to follow, gentle on hair, and saves time and money, while being non-smelling. Regarding gray coverage, opinions are mixed – while some say it works well, others report poor results. The product lasts about 3-4 weeks for most customers.

Amazing results – highly recommended
Iâve never colored my hair but recently began going to Aveda to cover greys for the first time in my life and was happy with the results. Since my visits were each running $400+ incl tip for a simple single color dark brown process, I decided to look into diy options. I was concerned that I had no experience and that I needed a product that was compatible with the Japanese straightening I get every 7months or so.dpHUE instructions were easy to follow and provided PERFECT salon quality (if not better) results. There are 2 applications per box, and each contains plenty of product to cover all roots & a good amount of growth. I start the timer for about 45 minutes after I finish the application, so the whole marinating process takes about an hour of exposure. All greys are completely covered and my hair is left soft and shiny.I write this review today after using the 2nd application that was provided in the root touch up box approximately 7-8 weeks after the 1st with a consistently perfect result again. I will reorder and will also try the conditioning glaze which I see is highly rated by past users.Iâm so happy with the quality results and the considerable savings from skipping the salon! This was a game changer for me.

Must have
This hair dye is easy to use, it works very well on stubborn grey hair, does not damage my hair, and the color blends flawlessly, and the color lasts until my hair grows out. This is my go to and so much more affordable than the salon with the same quality results.

This is the only hair dye I can use
I never knew I had a sensitive scalp until I started dying my roots. Permanent hair dye makes my scalp itch, and the hair dresser is unable to get the dye fully off my scalp. Iâve tried a number of different salons. This hair dye covers my grays, matches my natural color perfectly and doesnât cause any itchiness or irritation. It also seems to be pretty gentle on my hair. For reference, my hair is a very dark brown, not quite black. I get the black hair dye.

Review of DPHue Root Touch Up Kit
Great product. Easy to use. Works well for root touch up in between professional hair color done by a hair stylist.

Love this hair color but wished it lasted longer
This hair color is beautiful and lustrous and doesn’t irritate my scalp like other box dyes have done in the past!! Great for sensitive scalp all around I think. That is a super win for me and it is super easy to use.I also love that two applications are included in this so really that’s just $15 per touch up with salon quality instant results. My main issue is that the color does not last as long for me.I wash my hair maybe a 1-3 times a week and I noticed my color starting fading in around a few weeks. My salon touch ups last much longer. If you ever reformulate, please consider it actually being a more permanent color dpHUe. Other than that, love this product.

The Best at Home Iâve Ever Used.
I have medium rich brown hair. I went to Aveda salons for years but where I now live the prices everywhere average $65 for a single process color to color the new growth. Iâm retired now so thatâs too steep for me. Iâve colored my own hair on and off during my adult life so Iâm pretty good at it. Normally I mix half and half, medium and half dark brown, but since I had never used this product I tried medium brown first. It was a tad too light so I ordered dark brown this time and used half and half. It came out perfectly. I have very gray roots and left it on a full hour. A plastic cap is provided so I just put it on and watched tv while it processed. There was very little odor when I was applying it and no scalp burning. I washed it out in the shower. Itâs easy to wash out and doesnât stain tile or grout. There was little to no fading with the medium brown so I expect the same with this especially since itâs a bit darker, but I will update if that happens. I wish they would come out with more shades. I think going too dark with dark brown and too light with medium brown is a common problem so maybe they will expand their color range some day to add a rich brown 4.5 N. Most of the at home colors Iâve used have faded to a brassy shade at the part so the gray didnât stay colored well, plus other problems. I think this is the closest to salon color Iâve ever found. Buying 2 kits in two different shades will last 4 months since there are two applications in each box. It works out to $12 an application which I am more than happy to pay for a great product. It sure beats $65.

Easy to use and get professional results
I’ve been using it for about a year, since I couldn’t afford my beauty shop visits. It works as described and gives lasting color.

The color is expired and did not work on my Grey’s, not sure why Sephora stopped selling this brand as I have something to comoare it with, but I don’t think if is available in Canada anymore so I was happy to see Amazon carry it but it looks like not the same formula or old product was shipped to me, no refunds allowed and no response from seller. I still have 1 left and will be throwing it away, unfortunately as it use to be a great product.
