Easy to pack up and travel with. Our dog loves it!
A must have when traveling with our large dog! Easy to put up and take down- our dog enjoys being in it when we travel it is a win win! Easy to clean, can hold a mat and blanket when closet up for traveling. Bought a second one after 9 years and the quality is great. It is lightweight and our go to!!

Sturdy, portable dog crate!
This crate is large, sturdy and folds down flat. It took about 2 minutes to assemble. I was extremely pleased and surprised with the quality as I was taking a chance before a long trip with a lot of other dogs. No complaints at all, highly recommend. I would suggest getting a memory foam mat for inside the crate though as there is no padding in the floor of the crate.

Reliable and sturdy dog crate
Needed a sturdy, portable dog crate. This was the best value! Super reliable, looks good, and my Border Collie loves it. With his bed and blanket, he has plenty of room to stand, sit, and relax during trips. Highly recommended!

Almost excellent but still pretty good
Surprisingly good quality construction and heavy duty materials.The assembly instructions were not clear and i almost damaged the support struts until I figured it out. Looks like I should be able to collapse it pretty quickly when I need to get it out of th back seat, so that is good.

Working out great for camping!
This has been an excellent option to take our dog camping in our (very) small travel trailer. He is a rambunctious 2-year old, 60 lb muscular breed, but is crate trained. We were skeptical this would be both sturdy and portable, but it has performed well on both counts. We have to assemble and disassemble in the trailer when used, go through some gyrations to get him in and us out, and store in our truck when not in use. Not fun, but doable. Seems like this would also be great for hotel rooms or visiting family. It does seem to help him feel more secure when we are not here. One improvement for us would be a side door, but that might compromise strength. Also canât comment yet on durabilityâthis is a 6 week trip and we are only 2 weeks in! Note that there is no pad, just the canvas floor and metal frame. We are using with the Tail Stories pad bought on Amazon, which is a perfect fit and also useful for when he is not using the crate, both camping and at home.

Not Suitable for Strong Chewers!! My dog got free.
I want to start by saying that for a small dog or an older dog, this crate would probably be perfectly fine for short periods. I do want to highlight a positive which is that the poles inside are extremely sturdy and the setup is very easy.However; I did purchase this crate in particular because of the positive reviews regarding its durability and the size, since I have a German Shepherd/Husky mix (7 months old). The first time he used this crate, wonderful. The second use? See the attached photos. There were toys in the crate but he decided instead to chew his way to freedom; which he did successfully. Thank GOD the crate was in a room with a closed door and he did not ingest anything while he was roaming around free. But that could have been a very dangerous situation⦠there are wires, food, and other items he couldâve gotten ahold of after he freed himself by eating his way through the material. We were LUCKY. He was in there for 2 and 1/2 hours and who knows how little time it took him to get out. If we had used this to go camping, he would be gone by the time we woke up. Seriously do not consider this item if you know your dog is an aggressive chewer. Amazon support was very helpful with this but I donât want anyone to end up in my position- not for high energy breeds with heavy chewing ability.

Review of Amazon Basics Dog Crate, Travel Dog Kennel Double Door Collapsible, Lightweight Soft-Sided Folding, Portable Dog Cage, XL 42″ x 31″ x 31″, TanThis was purchased as a gift for a little guy that my best friend got and took back to Florida. This now little AKC registered German Shepherd puppy is expected to be as large as his parents. My friend needed something other than the soft crate she had on hand, which she had for her dearly departed Dachshund. This larger crate is lightweight enough that she can carry it upstairs easily, or anywhere she wants to take it. It folds down easily. She was kind enough to share a photo and video that I could add to this review. She said it seems well constructed and thinks it should hold up well. She mentioned that it only had two zippered doors, one on one end and one on top. She did not think this was going to be a problem, but she was just used to having zippered doors on each end and a small access door on top. Ryker looks tiny in this right now, but that will not last long. There seems to be enough ventilation. She said it seems like it will be easy enough to clean too. For the most part, I did not feel that the price was unreasonable, especially when compared to many other similar collapsible crates. She and Ryker seem pleased with the gift.

Exactly what I needed! Weâve had big wire crates for our two dogs and they donât get used much, but we still wanted something for car travel and the occasional use in the house, decided to get these. I love how sturdy they are, but light, and easy to fold up and put away.

This crate is very sturdy and is so easy to use and pick up to transport. Our dog has never used crate but needed one for agility training. We quickly trained him to use it. He now âgoes to jailâ quickly and calmly lies in there until he is given his release command. Great to get him to calm down . Would definitely buy again if needed.

Wir haben die Box erworben, um eine Möglichkeit zu haben, unsere beiden Kitten (6 Monate alt | BKH und OKH) sicher im Auto mit in den Urlaub zu nehmen.Dafür ist sie sehr gut geeignet und die Ladies konnten aufrecht darin stehen und zudem auch nebeneinander darin liegen.Die Netzeinsätze halten auch gut dem ein oder anderen Versuch des Kratzens stand.Insgesamt ist die Box sehr stabil aufgrund der Metallrohre, die man problemlos eingesetzt bekommt. Ist vergleichbar mit dem Einsatz der Fiberglasstangen bei Zelten, jedoch wesentlich einfacher ;)Einziges Manko ist, dass es keinen Tragegriff an der Box gibt bzw. keinen am oberen Ende. Dadurch muss man die Box tragen. Der angebrachte Griff an der Seite kann mit dem Gurt im Auto verbunden werden.Insgesamt kann ich die Box gut empfehlen 🙂
