Perfect for first aid on the go or in the house.
I purchased this to have a first aid kit for my new car. I have a larger one in my house and it is amazingly handy, as we have a large family that is very clumsy. The price was great for the size and the kit is perfect for refilling as supplies run out. It fits perfectly in the space under my passenger seat. It has plenty of things for general first aid as well as a guide for information and instructions. I added a few things like extra antibiotic ointment, additional bandages, and bug spray, but that’s it. I will be purchasing another one to stock in our workshop. I highly recommend this as a staple for every household.

A useful and necessary emergency kit.
I purchased this first aid kit as a Christmas present for a friend, who loved the practicality. He travels in his car for work, and said he often thought about having one in his car, but never got around to getting one. This first aid kit, we’ll stocked with just the right items, was very much appreciated.

Nice size first add kit
I wanted something for the house that has everything that might be needed for first aid but a size that I could easily take with us in the car whether a trip out of town or to the park with the grandkids. This fits all of our needs.

Case opens and shuts well, good supplies for a great value, but only partially portable
I do not understand a lot of the unfavorable reviews about this kit. One review even talks about how it is better than nothing but that is such a low bar. But I think it has a lot, especially for someone like me who didn’t even have a single Band-Aid. I live alone so I wanted to buy a kit instead of buying each item in bulk, if I could do so without a huge markup. I did buy an extra bottle of antibiotic ointment in case the five packets are not enough. But it has gauze pads, Band-Aids, tape, various medicines, prep pads, disinfectant wipes, A bit of antibiotic ointment, and even a trauma pad. If you think that it is not very much, you have to remember that you would change your dressing once or twice a day or sometimes only every two days. I was looking through a lot of kits and this seems to be the best value one. The only other one that seems to be a good value is the first aid only kit, but reviews on their talk about low quality supplies, a lot of the supplies are first aid only brand, and I didn’t want to try to use it only to find out things like the Band-Aids won’t stick. A lot of other kits seem to have an extremely high markup based on the fact that you are getting a premade kit. The contents of my kit included everything that is listed in the product description. The fact that they actually list the items and don’t just show pictures is very helpful. It was helpful how they categorized the items in their list into clean, treat, and protect. I counted the various different pads and bandages that it said I was supposed to have and I did have them all in the right amounts and it seems that I have a long time to use them so they didn’t try to pawn off a kit on me that is going to expire in one or two months. Mainly the antibiotic ointment, the instant ice pack, pills, the prep pads, and the antiseptic wipes will expire after awhile and all first aid kits. The gauze pads might expire as well. I’m not sure. I don’t think they do though.I am only knocking off one star because the case is not as portable as I thought, and because the tweezers are not that good. Unlike other reviews, my case does work well. The latches work well. It opens and shuts well. It doesn’t break. Some other reviews said that the case was zip tied shut, and once Dave broke the zip ties, the case would never stay shut again. I have not experienced that. The case opens and shuts very well for me. The only problem is that it is not as portable as I thought. It could fit somewhere like on a shelf, but it can’t fit in a small drawer. If the supplies are only for one person, it does have enough supplies where you could make a smaller kit for your backpack and then still have enough of each of the supplies in the larger kit as well. But I wouldn’t say it can fit anywhere. It does have the dimensions of the case listed, but I couldn’t conceptualize it very well. If I had known that ahead of time, I would’ve still gotten this kit because it is the best value for the supplies, but I do wish that the case were a bit more compact. Also, you can’t save space by putting the case on its side. It needs to be flat or the supplies will get disorganized. The case functions very well, but it just takes up more space than it really needs to. Also, the tweezers are plastic and aren’t really that good. I was mainly trying to get the best value for the consumable supplies without having to buy each supply in bulk and having it be cheaper per supply, but not being able to use it before it expires. Therefore, the tweezers not being that good isn’t a dealbreaker for me. I already saw other reviews that mentioned the tweezers. For the price of this kit, it would be unrealistic to expect amazing tweezers, but I still wish that the tweezers had been metal and not plastic. They are serviceable I suppose, but I just don’t like the tweezers that much. Replacing the tweezers with metal ones isn’t that big of a deal however. It does come with some Q-tips and a few tongue depressors. I’m not exactly sure what I would use them for, but maybe they could be helpful.Overall, I am satisfied with this kit. I did read a lot of unfavorable reviews about the case not staying shut. I don’t know where those came from but that did not happen to me. Other reviews didn’t seem to involve people actually checking their kit but I did check mine and everything was there. This is meant to be a basic first aid kit for medical emergency that could occur at home or work. If someone were to take stars away because it can’t do something like treat a gunshot wound I wouldn’t think that is very fair. And yes, it does have a lot of Band-Aids, but you would probably need Band-Aids more often than something like the gauze pads.

Safety at home or away
Has anyone ever thought about buying a first aid kit to add to a bridal shower gift? I bought one, along with a collapsible laundry basket, bathroom sign, glassware and other items on the bride’s wish list. It’s something every household should have â and my husband and I do have one in our linen closet. When we travel by car, we take it with us. When flying somewhere, we take what we think might come in handy while away. This kit comes with 180 pieces â enough to last at least a year if there are no kids in the home. We’ve had ours for several years and it’s still going strong.
