Effective but safe cleaner
The only powdered cleaner that lists all of its ingredients. If I want to use something with gentle abrasive, then this is the first step, and I rarely need to go for a more aggressive product. I’ve used it on stainless steel and on dishes without scratching or altering the finish. It removes dark streaks from white everyday plates without making them look dull. It takes some firm scrubbing, though. Mineral spots on stainless steel and stone countertops come off reasonable easily, but thicker mineral deposits don’t respond as well. If this doesn’t do the trick then I use Barkeeper’s Friend; it is a bit more abrasive, but still non-scratching.

The item is great. No odor, no chlorine, nada. Cleans & scrubs just like the chemical brands.The seller is a major concern. They shipped a full box of this item without any protective wrap. Of the 12 ordered 5 were broken & leaking powder. I filed a request for refund immediately but the seller demanded I wait for 3 days after the latest delivery date. No apologies. Seriously? Now I have to package the 12 back into the original powder-filled box, print out a label & take it to my nearest UPS store. Not a seller to recommend. Careless with their shipping, care less for the buyer. Item is highly recommended. Seller is to avoid.

This is the most amazing cleaning agent for pots and pans. I cook a fair bit and the inside of my dutch oven often gets blackened during prolonged periods of stovetop cooking due to hot spots. Some of these charred stains are very difficult to remove. I’ve tried so many methods and products, but Bon Ami powder cleanser has been the best so far. I would also like to share a tip, for really stubborn stains that do not come off with the Bon Ami powder cleanser, try scrubbing the stains with a mixture of vinegar and Bon Ami powder, it works like magic. Très Bien

Normally I stick to vinegar and baking soda for all my cleaning. However, I tried Bon Ami on a whim as it’s a vintage brand, and it is incredible. I was happy to find it on Amazon as the store I got it from originally no longer stocks is. Unlike most cleaning products, it’s not full of harmful chemicals that smell awful. It doesn’t even bother my skin. And most importantly, it works! It even shines taps and makes it easy to clean bathtubs and bathroom sinks (not sure what those are made of these days, but NOTHING else cleans them properly). I work it into a lather with a bit of water and a washcloth, and it actually makes cleaning enjoyable since the effort has good results. HIGHLY recommend this product.
