Decent carrier/ airport appropriate
We purchased this pet carrier for our 5.4 pound Chihuahua for traveling. Itâs great! We purchased it around Christmas time and finally getting around to writing the review. The mesh netting is thin, seems pretty durable but we have a small dog. Itâs great that you can expand it and allow your pet to move around. Our dog is tall, so he has to hunch down a little and we have to be mindful not to zip his fur into the carrier when we close him in. All in all, so far this carrier is decent. The plastic smell was pretty overwhelming. He would smell like the carrier when we first got it and traveled with him. You can still smell it but itâs not nearly as potent as when we first purchased it.

A purchase you will not regret!
We ordered two of these pet carriers to replace our old, cracking, plastic ones which we’ve had for over twenty years. Things like these weren’t really available back then & so the novelty of these really called out to us. Having received them we’ve found that our cats LOVE them!With the fold out sides, we leave these in different places in our apartment & they use them as covered cat beds. It makes them feel very secure. For our 7 pound Bombay it has plenty of room when closed up on the sides & more than enough room with the tent netting extended. It’s a little tighter for our 11 pound juvenile American short hair/rag doll cross but when you let out the sides it provides more than enough room for him to walk around a little & see what’s going on.The opening top is a nice touch as it allows you to pet them, offer them food or water while in transit. Definitely another edge it has over the old plastic pet carriers with only one way in or out. Speaking of when in transit these things work perfectly for what they were designed to do. There’s no signs of seams ripping, the mesh isn’t getting damaged by cat claws even when you play with them when it’s a barrier between you. Furthermore, the straps feel plenty secure.These roomy pet carriers tent-like appearance inspired us to take our two cats to the park to a barbecue recently. They love going out on our balcony already & being secure in these seems to have worked just as well. (They’re completely indoor cats so going outside in such controlled situations is a treat for them.)In any event I would recommend these to any pet owner, especially of the feline kind, if you want to give your kitty a better experience than being carried around in a tight fitting “case.”

Great for short trips or socializing
I don’t remember which size I purchased of this carrier, but I bought it for kittens and it feels like it might be a bit snug once they are full grown, as they can just about touch the top while standing. I marked this 4 stars for sturdiness as well, as it feels well made, but due to the design, it doesn’t have much structural integrity, so if a cat or dog jumps on it, it will mostly collapse.I’ve used this for vet trips and to socialize two kittens and it has worked great. The fold out sides allow the animals to move about without being trapped in a small cube, which ideally would be good for travel as well given you have enough space to leave it expanded in the car. The interior is very soft and it seems to be quite comfortable.

Expandable sides are a big plus
This box has many nice details. The expandable sides are a big plus, as they allow the dog to move around a bit and, for example, work on a food project. I never tried to fly with this, though, so I can’t tell how they work in a plane.I like that it has openings on both ends which helps train the dog to the box. This is also convenient if your dog is at the higher end of the weight scale and can’t that smoothly turn around in the box as this way he can get in from one end and out from the other.The only downside to this box is that the quality isn’t great. The “bones” holding it together started coming out and piercing a hole in the mesh only after a couple of days of use. For the full disclosure, my dog is about 15.5 lbs, so he is slightly above the recommended weight for this carrier. If your pet is at the smaller end of the weight scale, you are probably totally fine.It has one pocket on the side. I also like how the top opening opens on the side so it doesn’t get in the way even if you keep it open. The sherpa lining is removable and washable, which is also a big plus.

Great for cats
Got this for my cat for after her surgery, I love how spacious it is and fluffy. The ends zip out for additional space and zip back up to make it comfy. I love the peek a noo spaces so.yoi can still see your furry buddy throuout the travel. Folds up easily, there’s a sturdy handle to carry them which prevents too much shaking while walking. Worth every Penny my cat loves it, sleeps in it sometimes too.

Not escape proof!!!
I was at first in love with this product but the zipper quality turned out to be very poor. Two of my cats were able to split the the top zipper open and escape, and even when turned upside down one popped the end opening and escape the carrier. Would never trust this carrier on an airlines. I ended up removing what I could from the carrier and tossing it out because it was well past the return window. Keep looking! There are better carriers out there.

Spacious & Travel-Friendly!
This carrier is fantastic! The expandable sides give my cat plenty of room to stretch out & the fleece pad keeps her comfortable. Itâs sturdy, lightweight & fits airline requirements. The extra pockets are great for treats & paperwork. Makes traveling with pets so much easier!
