Easy to read and it’s stable
I like that it’s big and easy to read. You know how they have the hook on the back of things to slide over a screw, well this has two, one at the top and one at the bottom to make it steadier during windy days.

Excellent large thermometer
We put this in our unheated garage, easy to see from a little distance, and seems accurate enough. The first one we received was defective – had no lens cover did the arm did not move. Had to exchange it for another one, which seems to be just fine. Amazon should be more careful about what they ship though, it was obvious the first on had no lens and the temperature reading was non-functioning (the hand stayed at the bottom of the dial, and if functioning would read a temperature, even if cold). Perhaps they are being rushed too much in the shipping department.

Questionable accuracy
Purchased this thermometer because it is large enough to read from a moderate distance as it is to be used for outdoor readings. It is not very substantial, but it should do, if mounted properly. There are 2 slots in the back to mount on screw heads, and so far it has held on windy days.Even though it is large, it is not easy to get a fine reading as the range on the face goes from -60 to + 120 degrees, thereby crowding the dial. You probably have to calibrate the thermometer as it was off by several degrees when received. There is a dial on the back of the thermometer to change the reading, but it does so in increments of 2 degrees. So, don’t expect high accuracy from this thermometer. We’ll have to see how the calibration done in the winter compares to the one done in the late summer in order to see if the calibration holds across a range of temperatures.

Piece of junk; do not buy
Piece of junk. Do NOT buy.This thing has been nothing but issues from the get-go. In fact, it is still in its box. Unfortunately, the 30-day return policy from Amazon has passed. Purchased on Nov 26, 2024 and delivered on November 30, 2024; this clock is barely 2 months old. I have not been able to mount the clock because of the “direct sunlight” issue. So, I keep the box ziptied to a chair and move the chair around my 100% covered porch. Even that is no good for this thermometer. I am done with this piece of junk and want my money back! At 9:45 am on Feb 6, 2025 in Talbott, TN with an outside temperature of 66 degrees and cloudy, this thing reads 100 degrees.

Works great, nice large display viewable from a distance
I bought this for my 91 year old mother who lives out in the desert and she loves it. She used to have a traditional mercury thermometer hanging on the wall and she would always have to go outside to read the small temperature scale next to the vertical mercury tube. With this one she can just look out the window and easily see what the temperature is without having to go outside.It is installed on the wall in a covered walkway between the house and garage. It is a light product but has been hanging on the wall with a single screw mount and hasn’t moved or fallen off in over a year and it does get windy in the walkway. I haven’t checked the accuracy against another thermometer but in the desert it gets cold at night and hot in the day. I talk to my mom every day on the phone and the first thing she always says is how hot or cold it is and she will mention temperatures anywhere from the 50s to the 100s depending on the season and time of day. So while it may not be accurate to the exact degree, it does change relative to the outside temperature and is perfect to gauge the temperature.
