Do these mats really work to keep animals away and off of furniture?
Well, it really depends on your pet! Some animals avoid them right away, with no training needed. Some animals can be a bit more mischievous, curious, and may see the mats as a challenge.
How to use the mats:
Simply place the mats on furniture or in areas where you don’t want your pets or other animals to go. With our specially designed mats and custom connectors, you can design whatever configuration fits your needs. The uncomfortable plastic spikes discourage the animal from stepping in that area or climbing on that piece of furniture.
Why are our mats black instead of clear like other mats?
Our family has personally used the clear mats in the past to keep our dog off of our furniture. Occasionally, the mats were forgotten about on the furniture or they fell to the floor. Because they were not easy to see, we had incidents of accidentally sitting on the mats or stepping on them with bare feet. OUCH!! So, we redesigned our mats and made them black, so they’re easy to see!

They get the job done!
My dog is a butt when it comes to getting on the couch – and he scratches each cushion to make a comfy spot for himself, which has put a hole in every single cushion! Itâs been so frustrating because nothing has seemed to work to keep him off the couch – and I tried everything.These mats seem to work really well- I just have to put my workout weight on them to keep my dog from being able to knock them off the couch, which he did the first time I put them on.They are lightweight and easy to move- which is perfect for taking on and off, and so far they have been able to hold up with my various weights being placed on them to hold them in place (which range from 5-10 lbs).They also come with these Velcro connections so that you can link them together, which helps your pet from targeting just one to take down, as now theyâre all connected.So far, so good!

Works well! My dick arse dog whom I love is no longer getting on the couch. He is an Anatolian Shepherd and super smart. I cannot be home all day to keep him off the couch. He thought himself how to recline the couch. I just got this couch and want to keep it for a while so no dogs are allowed on the couch. I can now leave my house and know he will not get up on it . Win for me. He has a nice bed to lay on!As mentioned by others they are lightweight pads. The spikes on them are firm. If you really want them to stay on the couch get some Velcro for the bottoms. To attach to the couch. Other than that they are working. My kids have said he might chew them up. We will see if he pulls them off. Velcro is ready just in case. I used 6 and overlapped them so itâs a line across my couch. So far so good. Picture is before the spikes. No more sleeping dog on my couch!

So useful!
Not only do these mats work great for keeping my cats off of surfaces I do’t want them on, but I also used them under the house to keep rodents from nesting near my heater. There are so many good uses for these. A no-brainer!

This thing is unsafe
This scat mat is unsafe to use on the floor, and I’m appalled that it’s being sold on Amazon. The spikes are extremely sharp and rigid, I was expecting something with some give. My intention was to lay it on the floor to keep my dogs from jumping on our front door, but if my large pitties were to jump on this, there is no doubt they would be injured.

OK. Keeps them off but design slightly flawed
SO far it is keeping my dogs off the couch. We have moved and the dogs no longer have their own couch and they started to lay on our “good” couch. The issues I have is that I am not 100% certain how to store when we are not using. It is not simply fold up and put under the couch. It is more of a process to place them and put them away and out of sight. The ties that came with the mats has Velcro and this sticks to my couch and for the purpose of not snagging my couch I cannot use them. The corner pads also do not keep them from slipping it only made it so we cannot stack them on top of each mat to put away.

These have worked wonders for me and my wife. Our Frenchies had gotten so used to getting on our old couches that this product did the trick on not getting on our new ones.
