Works for German Shepherds (professional pet groomer review)
Iâve been a professional pet groomer for 7 years. Iâm currently pregnant and itâs hard to bring my German Shepherds to where I work to properly wash and blow them out. I took a chance on this thing and it works really well. Itâs not as great as the one at work (which is $600 but who has that kind of money) but this blows out the under coat really good before the bath and dries them pretty good. Both my shepherds have different coats (one is coarse and the other is plushy) and it was very easy to dry them! Plus I love the ease of cleaning the filter. I just which they had bigger nozzle options.

Does wonders for double coated dogs
Well made and easy to use. My dog got skunked late one night and we used this for quick drying. He dried quickly and it did a great job of blowing out his undercoat. Its size and weight makes it portable.

The dryer is awesome, effective, and user-friendly! The dryer has the option of having the air come out at different speeds on a dial that you can adjust during or before starting the drying process! It is quiet compared to other dryers that I have used which is wonderful for my dog! I really like the heating switch option to use. The air gets hot quickly but not too hot, but just enough to be warm which is great to use for drying my old dogs after a bath. The dryer comes with an extra filter and four attachment options to use so you can pick the best one for your pet and their fur type. I personally like the small funnel shaped attachment! It is very effective in getting a lot of the under coat and loose fur on my lab. I used this to blow out my golden lab mix and the amount of fur that it got out was great! I have used this to blow out my older pups after a bath and it is great to get them dry quickly, especially since we are in the winter now. I highly recommend this pet dryer! It is a great price, user friendly and effective!

Thermodynamics means it’s always hot.
I got this for my pups who LUCKILY, don’t have THICK coats, so can’t speak on THICK COAT performance, but on short and just under medium, does a great job. I may or may not also use it on myself. ANYWHO… I don’t super recommend using it on yourself since it gets hot, and as such can induce sweating. Even with the “HEATING” element turned off, it gets hot. That’s just basic thermodynamics, force air through a narrow tube, at great velocity, causes friction, which becomes heat.I now have bought a second one. I keep one in the Master Bath, since during the winters (which are non-existent on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi) I will bathe my pups in the Walk-in Shower. and then 120ft away is the garage, so instead of trying to lug this back and forth, I just keep the second unit in the garage for when I want to bathe them with the garden hose, especially since this is Mississippi, meaning USUALLY it’s constantly raining, so what little dirt I do have (since my yard is 90% sand, sigh), I can hose them, dry them, bring them in. One time they came in from a very rare (well for Trapper, Zelda doesn’t mind the rain) rain play, which I don’t mind, any play is good play; and I ferried them to the master bath since there’s a backdoor just around the corner of the master in the “office”/”workout” (lol) room, and with this I dried off a Foxhound/Catahoula and Dutch/Mal/Lab mix (which you’d think would have a thick coat, she doesn’t) in about 5 minutes each using the fan nozzle and towel combo was able to get them darn near bone dry.Only issue I have had and I partially fixed, was my first unit, the hose broke on it. BUT I was able to repair it in a rather jank manner, and I don’t know exactly what happened there. Since when I do store it, I have more than enough room for the hose to wind in a non-crimped manner so it doesn’t put stress on the base connector where it broke/tore.OTHER THAN THAT, I’ve been rocking the first one for about 3 or 4 years at least with no signs of quitting, just that minor hose issue, and these are one of those things that you find 100s of on Amazon, at so many CRAZY price points, that you’re just getting into law of diminishing return. Since a lot of the higher priced ones have lower CFMs than this one, that I can confidently say, at $70 (since there was a $10 coupon) this is a PERFECT and inexpensive home accessory for those with pets. OH, it is super loud, and Trapper starts out hating it, but quickly loves the massaging quality of it. Zelda the Dutch is not a huge fan of it and doesn’t find the same comfort in it as Trapper does shortly after. Though, since both of my dogs are just such amazing shelter pups, it’s not an active battle with them, so Zelda reluctantly allows me to dry her. Trapper will literally push into the nozzle and nuzzle it. It’s super adorable and annoying. LOL…

Great dog dryer
This is a great dog dryer. Had I known about these home pet dryerâs, Id have gotten one years ago. I had always used my hairdryer on my three dogs. But it was slow and the noise frightened them, so that Iâd end up having to chase them around the bathroom trying to dry them. This dryer is not as noisy, it does of course make noise, but itâs a different lower sound which my dogs (long haired chihuahua, Yorkie and Pomeranian) are fine with. Also, the heat is just a warm heat rather then as hot as a human dryer will get. The ability to regulate how hard it blows is also good. I now dry my Pomeranian much quicker and she stands there not being upset or nervous like my dryer made her. I donât know how long it will last since Iâve only used it several times, but it appears to be made well, so Iâm hoping itâs durable enough to last several years. My dogs are groomed, but this is good for those in between grooming baths. I searched for a dog dryer on several websites and for the money this one offered the most, including a number of different attachments. I would recommend this pet dryer.

Pros: dries my dogs (3 german shepherds) in no time at all. It takes me around 20 minutes each. Variable speed air, and option to have heat. Seems that the components are built fairly tough and will stand up.Cons: high speed air startled my younger dog initially, but having the option to turn it down and the different nozzles quickly fixed that.Verdict: If you own a dog, this is a must have. This thing works great, sturdy build and I have no doubt I will get many years from this machine. Only gripe (and this is minor), I wish the hose and cord were a little longer. Aside from that, quality product that is worth every cent.

I groom my three dogs every 6-8 weeks. Fast drying dogs post bath/ pre-grooming. Adjustable blower force and one setting for heat. I found the lower noise levels a lot less distressful for the dogs as the hose has pretty good reach (used to use my wifeâs hair dryer). Great valueThe only odd thing is the high pitch screech that comes out of the blower tube until the blower heats up. Always use with heat on when you turn it on. I usually turn it on and warm it up for a minute or so before baths. Once warmed up the high pitch is gone. Not a biggee ..but not sure if that is expected to happen

I have a large breed dog with a longer haired double coat that takes ages to dry on its own. She is happiest when playing in the water and when we moved to a new home that didn’t come with any pet facilities, I decided to invest in a dryer so she could continue to enjoy the water as frequently. The dryer has multiple attachments and I prefer the thin nozzle which really concentrates the airflow to get into her deep coat right to the skin so she isn’t left damp like other dryers I’ve used before. You’ll want to use it in a more open area because it will also blow other things around. I use it on my balcony and just make sure to aim away from any of my plants and decor. The dryer has a heat option which warms the air coming out – great for those colder days when I dry her off outside. When the power is turned off the hose shrinks back to a more compact length, making it easier to store and the hose and attachments can be entirely taken apart for even more compact storage. I find it about as noisy as a hair dryer and it doesn’t startle my dog at all. She actually gets excited when she sees me take it out and fully enjoys getting blow dried! I purchased the dryer several months ago and use it regularly and have had no issues with functionality. I definitely recommend this dryer for dogs with longer and thicker coats, especially if they love the water.
