Intuitive to operate, and great volume.
I just received this sound machine. I spent about 6 hours looking at and comparing sound machines before I settled on this particular model. It has a good number of sounds for the money I spent. It also had a $4.00 off coupon at the time I purchased it. But there were no agreements about positive reviews in exchange for the coupon. I’m not getting any type of remuneration for this review or the purchase of the product. I have no connections whatsoever with the manufacturer or the seller of this product, or any employee of either. The only connection I have is my purchase of the product with my own money, and with a clearly marked $4.00 coupon on the item page. I will not receive a refund for a review either.I haven’t used it for sleeping yet, so I’ll have to come back and update in a month or so after I’ve used it for awhile but honestly when I listen to it, it’s loud enough to drown out the garbage truck, and the thump thump of bass music playing in cars going by, as well as other household noises.This machine is made of a lightweight plastic but does not feel delicate or flimsy. The one I bought is white with dark grey markings on the buttons. It has an orange light in the bottom of the unit which I don’t need, but if you need a nightlight it is a nice feature. I turned it off right away.Using a regular old fashioned wooden ruler the top and bottom measure right about 4 inches, and it stands almost 2 inches tall. It has 4 little rubberized type pads about 1/3 inch wide on the bottom. They should be able to prevent most slipping and sliding but if you need a firmer non slip some velcro ought to work or one of those non skid things made to put under carpet corners. There any number of ways to prevent slipping. Like I said it’s rubbery enough that it should prevent most slippage.The only drawback I can see is it takes one of those round plug ins. So you can’t use just any USB power cord. This has a USB cord but has that pin type end that plugs into the side of the machine.It’s not a deal breaker, but you can’t just pull out one of those USB cords, to replace it, that I’m sure everyone has in their junk drawer. LOL. A power brick is included which is very nice because you won’t have to juggle charging your phone, tablet , laptop and etcetera with using the sound machine all night. Cudos for an included power brick!So I got this little machine for $15.00 and change plus tax.I just opened the box, and removed the power brick and the power cord and plugged all of it up and in. The power button is clearly visible, and easy to press. The buttons are a good size and far enough apart that someone with big hands and fingers can press each button without pressing other buttons at the same time. Cudos to the person who designed this machine for the well thought out placement of the buttons. The buttons do NOT light up, so if you need buttons that light up go with a different machine. I don’t require light up buttons so they’re fine for me.Honestly even kids could operate this sound machine without instructions. I figured it out in a couple of minutes, without looking at the instructions, but I had them nearby just in case.The buttons are arranged in a semicircle around the top of the machine just above the speaker which is in the center of the top. It’s a nice sized speaker. Each button is clearly marked with the operation it is for. I ran through all the sounds for which there are forward and backwards buttons, so you can go through the sounds from either direction. I need reading glasses and I could see these marking fine without reading glasses. Each button is a little over 3/4 an inch, and the speaker grill is approximately 2 inches wide and circular in shape, and it sits directly in the center on the top. There are 5 indicator lights that reflect the timer if you choose to use that function and they are a very bright white color when in use.The timer function can be set easily by turning the machine on a pressing the button with a clock face, and can be set for 1,2,3 or 4 hours, or infinite play with no time limit.The volume up and down buttons are clearly marked, and to go either up and down in volume doesn’t take a lot of clicks. There is a comfortable increase of sound for each click. Cudos for that also. I’ve bought items before that take many many clicks to get to a good volume. Perfect Sound Machine — Helps Me Sleep Better Every Night!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I absolutely love this sound machine—it has completely changed the way I sleep! The variety of sounds is amazing (white noise, ocean waves, rain, fan sounds, and more), and I really appreciate that they don’t sound artificial or “loopy” like some others I’ve tried. The volume range is great too—you can keep it low for subtle background noise or turn it up to completely block out distractions. Nice ambience for sleep or focus
We primarily bought this for our dogs to block noise at night or blocking the sound of thunder as we have one who hates thunder. I have even used this and it’s very relaxing! I think this could also be used as a focus tool for someone who enjoys background noise. There are many sounds and color options. I enjoy how you can dim the light to your preference. There is a train sound which blares a horn at the beginning that I thought was odd lol I think the horn could be removed but may just be a personal preference. I like that this is controllable on an app and that you can use it plugged in or unplugged if charged up so it’s portable. We got this on sale for $23 but right now it shows for $39.99. Not sure if I would want to pay full price. Maybe if there were some improvements to the app or different features. Being able to stack sounds would be really cool! Don’t get me wrong, it’s done exactly what we wanted it too each time – maybe it’s where Edit is misspelled on the Home Screen that gave me the initial feeling of the app needing updated 😂 There was another product that I ran across after purchasing this with a clock that can be used as an alarm clock to wake you with lights that resemble the sunrise in the $40-$50 range. But for the primary use of a sound machine with lights I would definitely recommend this if you can catch it on sale!

Review after 8 months of usage.Have used it on and off for 6 months since the kid was 6 months old. Good for adults and kids.Enough number of choices to sound to play. Soft yellow light. Works perfectly fine. Audio quality is not great but not bad.. acceptable.Only downside is that the buttons are hard to identify in darkness. Rest all good.
