Turns out I’m Pleasantly Surprised
I wasn’t sure about buying one of these. I have this nagging cough that won’t seem to go away and someone suggested a different brand. After some research comparing multiple brands I decided to give the Veridian a shot. The main reason I opted for this one was the large mask. I have a rather large nose and my coughing stems from post nasal drip so I felt it was necessary to get something I was sure was going to allow for easy steam inhalation through my nose. Secondly I opted for this one because the reviews seemed to state competing companies did not provide much steam. I didn’t really have much hope, but it was worth a shot.When the package arrived I opened it immediately and assembled it for use before bed. The small mask is basically worthless for me (it’s VERY small! It was easy to assemble and heated up quickly (like seconds). For those stating that the particles were too big there is an adjustment lever toward the base of the tube that allows you to switch particle sizes (read your manual) The output of steam was surprisingly good! It went for about 8 minutes or so and never got too hot.I should mention a couple times during the steam session I had a coughing bout, so I wasn’t really thinking the end result would work. Once it was complete however the coughing was non existent…temporarily. I was cough free for about 2 hours then a small coughing fit came back.I have noticed after a few uses that my coughing fits are not as bad and are fewer and further between.

Sealing cap breaks after a couple of months
I’ve had two of these units and both became useless after a couple of months. Work great when it works but the blue plastic cap that seals the boiling chamber has two little clips that secure the fit so steam is directed into the dispenser. In a short time one or both of these clips break rendering the unit usless as the steam escapes into the upper chamber making it very hot and the steam is not directed into the facemask. Stay away. Waste of money.

Great steamer!
I bought this in 2023 when I had Covid. It has been a great tool to use for colds. It’s very thoughtfully designed and packaged. I bought 2 more thag year as gifts for others because I have been so happy with mine. I would recommend it. Hopefully the quality hasn’t changed since then!

Great product, first one failed
The product is great, it produces much steam but gives a bit of a hassle. You must feed water to it in 2 different areas in order for it to turn on.The first time the product was sent, it would pop off the top part, and it would rarely turn on. I requested a return. The second one that was sent to me was much better. I would not say that this product replaces a sauna, but when saunas close at near midnight, this product never closes and therefore:I would suggest this product to anyone who wants a relative ammount of steam for their face/throat. It is a fantastic product for alergies, and I use it for the beauty/face mask, and it has worked wonders for me. It clears up acne like any sauna would, and it is so convenient that it surpasses any other steam inhaler by FAR.

LPR relief with Veridian. Try this with 9.5ph Alkaline water. It works for me.
I started suffering from LPR a couple years ago and over the last six months it got worse. I did all the research and everything I was suppose to (Dr. Koufman’s diet, don’t eat 4 hours before bedtime… etc). I improved but not all the way. I tried drinking Alkaline water and it helped but the problem is it wouldn’t get to the larynx and airways. So I bought this steam inhaler with the intent to try steam inhaling Essentia 9.5ph water to denature Pepsin in my larynx and airways. It seems to work! I have been using this inhaler a few times a day, including if I feel the symptoms coming on. This unit works great. It sometimes gets pretty hot towards the end of the cycle but you just back off. It is very simple to use. I am posting this review for any LPR sufferers looking for relief. This is definitely worth a try. Also, I could have written a ton more about LPR and why this works, but I didn’t want this to be too long and assumed if you have LPR and are here you already have the info.Edit 11-7-17> Unit continues to work great and I can’t imagine managing my LPR without it at this point. I use it on average 3 to 4 times a day. I tested the ph of the steam residual and while it drops a full point due to the heating process it is still about 8.5. So it is important to start with the 9.5ph water or above since it needs to be a ph above 8 to denature Pepsin. This is not a cure by any means but rather a treatment of the symptoms, which does help the tissue heal as well. Still trying to get the diet thing right… issues come and go. I hope this helps.

Excellent product. Very satisfied
This machine works perfectly well. The instructions are hard to follow or understand. I just guessed and, sincerely, I might be doing something wrong with the amounts of water that goes in one or the other container… But nevertheless, it creates an incredibly powerful amount of steam and it has helped me greatly with my sinus and cough problems. I have nothing to compare it with, because it is the first time in my life that I’ve used/bought a steam inhaler.I would highly recommend it.p.s.: UPDATE 8 months alter: TWO STARS LESSMy cough (due to allergies–no one can tell) is back. So I am using the inhaler again. I am adding, as I did previously, drops of eucalyptus in the green water tank (the one visible in the picture). Problem is: I am terrified that the inhaler can spit droplets of boiling-hot water against my face. It hasn’t happened! But I can hear the water bubble and “pop” inside, as my face is near the little mask, and for some reason I tense up (and jump a mile) each time I hear a “shptic” fearing I’ll get injured.After using the inhaler today, I was unable to open the external water tank (green) to clean it. It is stuck. 🙁

It gives great steam, just what I needed, but stopped working after a few uses. Not sure why.

Not the quality as my previous one
This was my 2nd purchase of this. My first one lasted 8 years and worked great so I ordered another one. However the second one stopped working 2 1/2 months since I got it. It just won’t turn on. So now I have to get another brand. I am very disappointed.
