We had purchased a similar laser device for our daughter and, after they both talked about it, our niece said she would like one for her birthday. Having had a good experience in the past, we purchased this model–she is very happy with it.This really is a professional device, and it appears to be well-made, with a substantial feel. The business end of the laser utilizes a sapphire mineral window through which the laser fires. This somehow makes the front very cold (they say all the way down to 37 degrees F), which soothes the skin while you are using it. Not sure exactly how that works, but it feels very cold when in use.The laser device comes with an app for your phone which connects to the device to program features. It includes tutorials on how to use it as well as an AI feature that helps you adjust the settings for your skin tone, particular hair color, and where on your body you are using it. I personally would be nervous about using a laser on my skin, but the app appears to remove all the guess work and walks you through the steps.There are different sensitivity levels so you can adjust the strength of the laser to your preference. Our daughter says she turns the intensity down a bit because it is very powerful.Just to see how it worked, I tried this once on my chest. To me it was painless, with only a cold sensation. The laser fires 3 pulses at a time to get to the root of the hair follicle. My wife had an early laser hair removal device several years ago, but it it could not be used on the face and you could only operate it for about 5 minutes before you had to let it cool down. This Saloot laser can be run continuously and can be used anywhere on the body, so it is a big upgrade.Our niece is extremely happy with this purchase and she thinks we are wonderful!

Quality device at a decent price point
I will be honest, I was extremely scared to use this device for several months after buying it. I should have done my research first on how they work. I had no idea that you need to shave first and only have barely there stubble – the reasoning makes sense, though. Also, these devices do not work well on people with darker skin, or people who have light hair. The reasoning is because the laser targets the dark contrast. I also didn’t realize how many sessions would be necessary. This isn’t a one and done sort of thing, you will likely need to do each area many times before the hair is gone – and for some people, it still comes back, just not as much as before.On a positive note, these same things happen when you go to professional places to have this done. And they charge way more, and you have to keep scheduling more appointments. So, the upside is that you get to do this in the comfort of your own home at the fraction of the cost.Does it work? Yes, but it’s very time-consuming. Will it be worth it in the end? I hope so.Having never done something like this before, I don’t really have anything to compare it to. When I was younger, my mom took me for a consult to get my mustache area done, and I was told it was going to feel similar to hard rubber band snaps for pain level. I can confirm this device is rather painless with its cooling effect feature it has.It feels very high quality, looks sleek, and is okay to hold. It’s a little on the large side for my female hands, but I assume it takes a lot of technology inside to do what it does – online it looked like most devices were similar in size.It comes with everything you need, including a pretty nice razor. The protective glasses are designed really neatly with the way they fold up really tiny for storage. The instructions are good, but I also went online and looked up many videos for extra help.
