Though still having a number of generic brush heads I decided to purchase these “official” Oral-B ones. They are more oval in shape and each bristle in the outermost row is in a “trench”, allowing an unusual degree of movement. The purpose of this is unclear, perhaps to reduce gum irritation? Whatever the reason, brushing is more comfortable, not the usual scouring sensation as with the older brush heads, while doing an excellent job of tooth cleaning. I like them and will order more when these finally wear out.

Real Oral B heads
These are genuine Oral B replacement heads. I’ve had it with cheap ChiCom knock offs that fail after two weeks or don’t remain on the toothbrush. This style is supposed to support flossing. I can’t measure that directly, but I am happy with the product.

I am a little obsessed with oral hygiene and having clean, white teeth. I have tried a few different brush heads from Oral B, and the flosser heads make my teeth feel the cleanest. You still have to floss, but these leave the surface of my teeth feeling clean and shiny.
