I will only buy this for my piggies.
Won’t stay to fresh if left in bag once open but you can get a container for it. These are not a soft pellet and is the perfect color. Easy to feed, good size and amount for the price. This food will help keep your piggies healthier longer, has no added stuff they should not have. Highly recommended and will only buy this.

Perfect for My Piggies!
Iâve tried several guinea pig food brands over the years, and this one is by far the best! My piggies absolutely love it â they run to the bowl as soon as they hear the bag rustle. The pellets are fresh, smell great, and seem to be packed with all the right nutrients, including vitamin C which is essential for guinea pig health.I’ve noticed shinier coats, more energy, and happy squeaks since switching to this food. One of the best pellets out there for young guinea pigs (under 6 months of age)
I got this for my guinea pig who was estimated to be under 6 months at the time. Over the years, since I got my first guinea pig (I got my first guinea pig in the summer of 2014), I have found through research, that this is one of the most highly recommended pellets for young guinea pigs. I find that oftentimes, my guinea pigs WILL prefer pellets that have colored bits, or even dehydrated veggies, mixed in. However, that is not necessarily what is best for them. Many times, pellets with colorful/dyed pieces mixed in tend to be the equivalent of junk food.Dehydrated peas, which are mixed into some pellets, contain loads of calcium and feeding too many can lead to piggies developing problem with bladder stones later on. Carrots are fine here and there, but they can contain larger amounts of sugar than you’d want to feed on a regular basis so that is something to think about when selecting a brand of guinea pig pellets.If you are feeding your guinea pigs the recommended diet of unlimited hay, 1 cup of veggies daily, and 1/8 cup of pellets, then a pellet like this one is all you need. Oxbow also makes pellets for adult guinea pigs which are Timothy hay-based. Adult guinea pigs do better on a Timothy based pellet as alfalfa contains high levels of calcium, which can also lead to stones.All that being said, I recommend this food for young guinea pigs. If you are currently feeding a different brand with colorful bits, then you can slowly transition them to this, or something comparable, by slowly mixing some in with their old food until they are completely switched over. They may snub it at first (mine did), but as long as they are getting unlimited hay and their daily serving of veggies, they should be fine until they start eating these pellets. I encourage you to research the foods you are providing your guinea pig(s) so that you don’t have to spend loads of money on vet bills in the future. I am only saying this from experience. I currently have a guinea pig who is recovering from issues with bladder sludge (possibly genetic, possibly from too much calcium intake) and it has been a long and expensive ordeal.

Great product
I’m a big fan of all oxbow products, so this was my first choice when switching to a senior diet. I will say that it took my girls a bit to adjust and be willing to eat them. So I’m guessing there is a taste difference between adult and this food, as a heads-up. We switched to this formula after having a pig diagnosed with arthritis and bladder sludge. We’ve had no issues since switching and she seems much happier

No me pagan creerme jajajaj pero si me fio muchÃsimo de mi veterinaria de exóticos, una excelente profesional que es súper cariñosa y dedicada con estos animalitos. Y he investigado muchÃsimo personalmente, llego siempre a la misma conclusión, este es el mejor.Yo ya hice el cambio antes de conocerla, y cuando me preguntó sobre la rutina de mis cobayas y como eran sus cuidados, se quedó asombrada cuando le dije que usaba este, literalmente me dijo: es el Brad Pitt de los piensos. Nunca me olvidaré de eso jajajajaObviamente hay que combinarlo con una buena dieta, ejercicio, un buen recinto, heno de calidad, sus revisiones. Pero creerme que con solo hacer el cambio vuestros animalitos lo notarán muchÃsimo, es más caro pero es la mejor inversión. Lo notaréis ahora y a largo plazo, su vida vale mucho y literalmente esto les puede hacer una gran diferencia.Mi veterinaria sigue buscando conseguirlo para que sea más accesible en las tiendas, y aunque ella se fastidie con las ventas de lo que tienen en la clÃnica, siempre recomienda que sigamos comprando este aunque no sea a ella. Solo un hospital de exóticos lo vende en mi zona (He vivivido en varios sitios de España y es la primera vez que lo veo en fÃsico, eso es mucho decir). El resto es imposible a no ser que lo pidas en Amazon, en nuestra zona.Con todo esto, espero que os ayude, nuestra humilde experiencia es que es una de las mejores decisiones que tomamos nosotros para nuestros peques, que al fin y al cabo son parte de la familia.
