Customers say

Customers find the travel crate easy to assemble and transport, with a small size that fits two small dogs and fits into suitcases. The collapsible design allows it to fold flat for storage, and customers consider it great for travel. However, the sturdiness receives mixed feedback, with some finding it well-made while others report coming apart at the seams. Moreover, the zipper durability is a concern as customers report it ripping on first use, and opinions on value for money are divided between those who consider it good value and those who find it not worth the cost.

    Convenient
Got this to contain my dog when traveling. Way easier and more compact than packing a crate. If your dog is an escape artist, it won’t work. But if you dog will just sleep and hang out, it’s perfect. The small version is pretty large. It has a Velcro thing to roll up the door so you can leave it open for your dog to get used to.Yeah the folding part is super tricky!!!! A diagram would be helpful for those wondering how to do it. I can fold my car windshield shade — with the twisting in opposite directions motion — but not this thing! I folded it flat but couldn’t get it back to a circle shape without feeling like I was going to break it. In any event, that it folds flat is good enough!

Lightweight, Compact, and Surprisingly Sturdy for Travel
This pop-up kennel exceeded my expectations for a soft-sided travel crate. It’s lightweight and folds down flat in seconds, making it super easy to store or pack in the car. I used it for vet trips and short stays with my small dog, and it kept him secure and comfortable. The mesh sides allow for great airflow and visibility, and the zippered openings are smooth and secure. Despite how lightweight it is, the structure holds up well once it’s popped open and doesn’t collapse in on itself like cheaper versions I’ve tried.

    Poor Mesh Quality.
We were excited to receive the product, but it only lasted a short while. The mesh is very thin and weak and our dog ripped through the front the first time we used it. My wife bought new mesh and repaired the front door, but she ripped through the side the next time. We have 3 different versions of these kennels, one for the home, one for work, and this one was for the travel trailer. The other 2 are still like new and this one is destroyed in less than 5 uses. If I could send this back I would…..DO NOT BUY!!!!

It’s a cheap carrier, you get what you pay for.
So this was bought for a very specific purpose, and served that purpose well, but likely won’t survive much beyond that single purpose.I have a 15 year old cat who gets anxious and carsick. And we decided to move to a new city around 3 hours away, and I was the one moving the cat and our 2 year old human child, so stopping on the side of the road or at rest stops was something I wanted to minimize to all extents possible. But this cat has never been in a car more than 15-20 minutes without vomiting or pooping all over whatever carrier she was in, sometimes multiple times and on one traumatic (for all of us) occasion, necessitating a bath at our destination. After a ton of research, I determined that my best bet short of medicating her (which, at her age, her vet wasn’t thrilled about, nor was I really looking to add “take carsick geriatric cat to the vet” to my to-do list on a day I’m supervising the packing and loading of my entire house with said cat and 2 year old), was buying a larger carrier and hoping for the best. Now as I said, cat is 15. I was honestly having some doubts about whether the trip might be the end of her, and even if it’s not, she won’t be taking too many more long car trips, if any, so I was not about to shell out three figures for some Cadillac carrier. I just wanted something that would contain her for the move, fit in my backseat with the car seat, and allow her to not feel claustrophobic for three hours. This thing fit the bill for about $20.Now, it didn’t fit the bill neatly. First of all, it never stood up straight when opened. It has a lilt to the side about 20 degrees that I can’t figure out how to fix. That didn’t hamper it fitting in my backseat, but it does limit its utility as a long-term cat bed or anything like that. The fabric is 100% cheap-as-it-comes nylon. It will not hold up to a scratchy cat, or any type of excitable small dog or anything like that. The zipper barely worked, and the windows are… Let’s just say I wouldn’t put an animal with any drive to escape in this thing. Thankfully, my girl is docile and just yells when she’s somewhere she isn’t happy, until she goes to sleep. She’s no kind of Houdini and I’ve seen stealthier donkeys. That said, it popped open easily and stood up, if leaning. I was able to layer several old towels and pee pads in the bottom and she still had plenty of space, and it fit behind the drivers seat in my newer model Forester across one side and the middle. It was a little squished between the door and my son’s massive rear-facing car seat, but the door closed and it stayed on the seat (though I drive very far back, and the carrier needed the support of the drivers seat. If you’re one of those drivers who likes to chew on your steering wheel, you may need to put it behind the passenger seat and move that all the way back for support). And most importantly, it got her from point A to point B in much calmer fashion than I’ve ever seen her in the car. She was clearly displeased with her lot in life when I shoved her in (I carried her in my arms from the house to the car, this thing will NOT bear weight, plus it’s too big and clunky to try to maneuver with an annoyed animal inside), and she gave me a stern talking-to for the first maybe 20 minutes, then she laid down and went to sleep. I had grand plans of putting a tiny litter box in there with her, but alas, that didn’t happen, so when she started yowling about an hour from our destination I pulled over to find she’d pooped. So I just took the top layer of towel and pee pad off, right out from under her, shoved it in a trash bag, and continued on down the road, and there was more than enough space for this maneuver without removing her from the carrier. Once relieved of her bowel movement, she curled up and went back to sleep, and that’s how I found her when we arrived at her new home.I never did get it to fold completely again. I got it flat, but not back into the little dinnerplate shape. But whatever, it lives tucked behind a shelf now, and occasionally my son plays in it. If and when it dies, I will not be disappointed. It served its singular purpose with honor and dignity, and I have no complaints. I bought a cheap carrier, I got a cheap carrier, and it performed as one would expect a cheap carrier to perform. For that, it gets a good rating from me.

    Lightweight
Lightweight material and will serve its purpose if you have a docile pet. Ours gets excited when we stop and open the hatch and scratches at the door web material. As a result, the webbing has not held up.

    Good quality and value.
Much bigger than expected. Comes with a plastic carrying case. It took a little bit of practice the first time after opening it to return it to the circular shape of the case. Nice color, good value, works well, as expected. Would recommend.

It is perfect for travel, I love it
This was perfect for a weekend motel stay with my very destructive 7 month old Dutch Sheperd puppy. The mesh sides and door made it where we could see each other from anywhere in the room. It popped up easily and was a lot easier and faster to fold than what I thought it would be. Piper is already crate trained and I would not have put her in it without supervision due to the way it is made. The heavy fabric makes it very light weight and the fold ability makes it compact. I absolutely this crate and will use it a lot.

    Convenient but doesn’t hold up
Convenient but poor quality. Zipper started separating from the rest of the fabric after a couple months. My dog doesn’t try to get out or anything. The threading at the seem just started to separate

Buen producto.

After reading some bad reviews on this product here, I decided to take my chances still, because it’s not easy to get a small pop up crate. I’m impressed with the quality. It’s sturdy and yet lightweight. My 10 month old puppy went inside without hesitation (but she’s crate trained). I’m impressed and delighted that I have something to use on the go. But only time will tell if the flexible wires stay stand up to frequent use. (Do note that pop up soft crates are good only for dogs who are crate trained).

Using this as pet fort in our living room tucked in behind an end table and the wall. Toby our cat had a teepee fort there, but it kept moving around. I ended up cutting the nylon off the end side, and bent the metal frame back a bit, and he loves it! Perfect size for a hide away fort❤️❤️
