Every month women that menstruate are faced with the problem of spending the little to no money they have on a meal or on a box of tampons or pads. Many also suffer from bladder incontinence and need pads and liners to protect themselves against leaks and accidents. The teens and women who can’t afford the proper care and menstruation items will often use and reuse socks, plastic bags, napkins, t-shirts and rags, to try and manage their symptoms.
This puts them at serious risk of experiencing toxic shock syndrome and other reproductive health-related issues. In short, it’s a hygiene problem and a health problem. Often escaping domestic issues or unwelcoming environments for lgbtq individuals, so many women’s shelters are packed with women in desperate need of assistance, and many shelters just don’t have the capacity to help everyone who needs assistance. That’s why we created this easy handout for women and teens living on the street.

The pads were delivered on-time. This is part of a donation for women who may need sanitary napkins and may have a need. We often think it is just food, but hygiene items are necessary and can be expensive. Each pad is individually wrapped and have the wings to provide additional security while wearing the pads.
