Quifsse’s Heat Protectant Spray
I have really unfortunate hair; not curly enough and not straight – a very sad level of wave and frizz. I also process my hair a lot with balayage’s, which just makes it worse. The only way to do my hair is with high heat styling tools. 410 degrees is the heat required to be effective with my hair. I use curling irons, wands and straighteners. As a result, my hair also suffers from damage from high heat. I have not generally been proactive about using good heat protectants but am tired of damaging my hair more, so I was excited to try this heat protectant spray.Quifsse’s heat protectant spray comes in a metal can with a fine mist spray. It is very easy to apply and then brush through. It does not have any type of pleasant smell – only the smell of the products included, so a fairly chemical type scent. Once applied and dry, there is no lingering scent. This morning I washed my hair and then applied both a leave in treatment that I regularly use, and this heat protectant spray. I brushed through my hair and proceeded to do a high heat blowout. I was surprised at how soft, shiny and frizz free my hair looked – all the way to the roots, where I normally have a halo of frizz. Additionally, my hair feels really soft and moisturized. There is no residue after using, which is fantastic. My hair feels light and moves freely. Ingredient wise, I appreciate that it includes natural plant essence though I don’t recognize most of the ingredients included.Of the heat protectant products I have used in the past, this one has exceeded my expectations after only one use. Price wise, at $9.98 for a can, this is on par with drugstore brand hair products and I am certain that I’ve had better results from this spray than I have from any drug store product I’ve bought for frizz in the past so it’s a good value and absolutely worth trying! My experience has been all positive, with the exception of the scent upon initial spraying. Since that scent dissipates quickly, it’s not something that would prevent me from using it! It truly worked fantastically for me!

Makes my hair look wet/oily
This seems to protect my hair pretty well and the fragrance is really nice, too. I liked that it came in an aerosol can because then it was vey easy to spray and apply exactly where I want it. Unfortunately, I don’t like using it because it makes my hair look shiny and glossy, like it’s wet or has oil on it, which makes it hard to style (like with a hot iron), which kind of defeats the purpose.

Silicone-rich, too heavy for my hair
I have fine hair prone to damage and so generally stay away from heat styling due to fear of damaging it any further. The description of this heat protectant spray mentions moisturizing, repair and gloss boost, points that caught my attention.I applied the spray per instructions, and immediately noticed that it weighed down my fine hair, leaving it looking a bit oily. I checked the ingredient panel (which was not, at the time I ordered the spray, on the description) and noted a few different forms of silicones, which weight down my hair and so I generally avoid.This thermal spray may be great for someone whose hair can work with this ingredient but unfortunately mine doesnât.

Excellent heat protection!
This Heat Protectant Spray for Hair,Deep Nourishment and Moisturizing,Repair and Gloss Boost Heat Protection Spray for Hair provides great heat protection for my hair for blow drying and using curling irons and straightening irons. My hair stays soft and shiny and looks so healthy! Works better than other heat protection products I have purchased that were much more expensive. This oneâs a winner!

Adds shine to hair
I blow dry my hair frequently and this heat protectant does a good job preventing heat damage to my hair. It gives my hair nice shine and tamps down the frizz somewhat. If you spray too much heat protectant in one area though, you end up with spots that look greasy and weighed down. Also, the scent of the product is not great. Thankfully it dissipates quickly.

Kind of scary when you read warnings.
I’m afraid to use this product after reading all the warnings on the box, one of which states: “pressure packaging, do not collide, do not approach flames, sparks, electrical appliances or smoke when using. The product may explode if heated.” Since a hairdryer is an electrical appliance & it produces heat, I’m very leery about the safety of using. The stuff may work great, but I’m not sure I want to take a chance.

Good at protecting hair from heat.
This looks fancy and has a fancy price too. I like that itâs in an aerosol spray can, but it sprays kind of thick. And it leaves my hair greasy/oily. It also weighs it down some. It does do what itâs made for, which is protect your hair from heat damage. If you donât spray close to your hair or too much, itâs good. It smells very light. Almost nothing at all.

definitely helps with frizz and hydration
Works okay definitely helps reduce frizz adds a nice shine protects my hair but it squirts out like a water gun and doesnât spread evenly thatâs my only complaint
