My GO-TO Grooming Kit!
The Remington Grooming Kit is a MUST HAVE for trimming beards, goatees, nose hair, eye brows, and mustaches. The FOIL SHAVER is the best foil shaver I have found for the small jobs like shaving keeping my eye brows and goatee cut close to the hair line. The nose trimmer works well. It’s very LIGHT and the BATTERY LASTS a long time before needing a charge. I have had a few of these over a period of 15 – 20 years and they are very DURABLE! This is my GO TO grooming kit to keep me from looking like an unkempt old man!

Does the job and what it’s supposed to
I’ve owned and been happy with an older Remington trimmer for close to 10 years. See attached pic. Best money spent. It STILL holds a charge for weeks between use. I use it without a guard to trim side burns, remove unwanted or stray hairs, and trim the back of my neck and square back up the back of my hair line. With the guard I tame down the chest hair or where ever needs it. I even used it during Covid to give myself a haircut because it wasn’t possible to get one for so long. My adjustable guard attachment broke and I was sick and tired of holding it in position to trim what I needed to so I decided to pick up this newer model. That and figured the blades would be new and sharp another plus.So here’s what I’ve learned, tips I’m sharing as well as opinions. First go buy blade oil and use it regularly. It will keep the blades sharp. Just run a small amount over the blades, turn it on and let it run for a couple of minutes, then you’re done.The adjustable guard attachment is plastic NOT heavy duty so yes you can break it or strip it out if you man handle it or force it on or up and down adjusting the length. That’s what the push button is for so just go easy with it and it will last a long time. I found out the hard way when one day it just started slipping down on it’s own. I’d stripped it out as well as cracked it from over the course of time repeatedly pushing on the top of the guard itself or pulling it up by hand. Dropping it in the sink by accident a few times didn’t help matters either I’m sure. Live and learn.This should go without saying but never leave the trimmer on the charger plugged between uses you don’t need to and it shortens the life of the battery. Charge it up for a few hours and take it off and put it away. After using the trimmer for however long I need I put it on the charger for 4-6 hours and then take it offIn my opinion I think the attachments nose hair trimmer and foil are just junk. Any brand trimmer I’ve purchased and tried they either catch or pull and are more pain inflicting than a convenience. Maybe others have better luck but I never have. Those looking for a close shave, this is not a electric razor/shaver it was never meant to be. It will never give you the results that one would. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment and dish out the extra money to buy a full sized and featured electric razor not a trimmer.I’m rating it 5 stars taking into account as of now the battery life will be the same as my old one. Otherwise it’s identical in performance. One thing I was disappointed about is the pic of the product leads you to believe the 3 bars on the handle that light up green when plugged in are to indicate the level of charge. They’re NOT it just lights up to tell you it’s charging that’s it. If I run into charging issues or it dies or a charge doesn’t last as long I’ll update and deduct stars from my review.

The first one lasted over ten years so I bought another. It’s simple to use doesn’t have all the confusing attachments so many other beard and mustache trimmers include. Save yourself the frustration this one gets the job done, beard, mustache, and sideburns with a good clean cut.

Good shaver
I’ve gone through a remington shavers and this one is by far the best bang for the buck. Shaver is consistent, doesn’t catch your facial hair or bite you. I also have the shaver that looks like this one but is all black and is about 2 dollars cheaper, and I must say that this one (the one in this listing) is steps ahead of the other one. This is a very reliable shaver. My old one worked for several years without fail, shaving my head several times a week. The only reason I needed another one is the charging cord broke and the one that came with the cheaper shaver doesn’t charge this adequately enough to make it run. Get this, it’s well worth it.

Starting out, I have to say what a good deal for a Remington and lithium powered at that!! I am all about this!! It’s what I have been after for a while and you can use it any place!! I don’t mind that it is on the small side!! I am liking the attachments and it does have quite a bit of power. Thanks!!

Weak Battery
Why did you pick this product vs others?:When this trimmer dies, I won’t buy another Remington. Its foil trimmer is not very good and not wide enough to get tight spots. I use the trimmer primarily to touch up spots after blade shaving. Also, the battery is inferior: it doesn’t provide enough power for effective foil trimming and doesn’t hold a charge very long – I have to to charge it after every two uses.

I have used this trimmer (and others) for many years. It provides a close shave with little fear of nicking sensitive skin. The length attachments are not the best of quality, but get the job done. As shown in the video, the top is very easily removed for easy cleaning and lubrication. the battery last longer than most other brands i have used.This is not a top tier trimmer by any means, but great value for its price.

Pero sin duda es más de lo que esperaba.–Actualización 23-nov-2015–La pila de la rasuradora me duró cerca de 1 mes, rasurandome una o dos veces por semana.–Actualización 31 enero 2018–La baterÃa sigue durando más de 1 mes rasurandome 1 o 2 veces por semana. El aditamento con varias medidas se ha aflojado un poco, pero debe ser normal, pues lo uso siempre y lo quito y pongo seguido para limpiar la rasuradora.–Actualización 20 de julio 2023–¡Es indestructible! La pila le sigue durando semanas y cumple su función, aunque se volvió más ruidosa que cuando era nueva. La utilizo religiosamente 1 vez por semana. Ha aguantado infinidad de caÃdas. El aditamento de plástico transparente con varias medidas terminó por romperse, pero ahora sólo uso el cabezal del #1 que es de plástico duro y, por tanto, imposible de que se rompa.Por más que he querido jubilar esta rasuradora, sigue siendo la de cabecera.
