Litter Box Enclosure
The product was as just as the picture showed nd came as the seller stated. I purchased this item for a “Feral Cat” that we socialized as a younger kitten. When we had him checked by our local veterinarian we discovered that he is FIV positive and now has come to live his days in our Sunroom. This cat is on Lysine and Digestive Aids and his box odors can be stronger than our inside two “Siamese”. I wanted to disguise the litter box in our Sunroom, hope to eliminate excessive tracking of his litter and help disguise the odder. My husband, has many other projects at the time and being too busy to build the litter box enclosure, led me to purchase the product. Being that he is very handy in wood working he put the cat liter box enclosure together with no concerns. It appeared that is would be a very basic project for anyone to do. It came with no damage, easy to follow instructions, was a good choice of color to match the furnishings in our Sunroom. One of the ratings showed that their item came damaged with the backside in a white material and damage along the edges. The one we received is all the same type and color all the way around, with the same MDF and veneer overlay that will be very easy to clean. Charlie (our Sunroom Cat) had no problem in adjusting to using this as it contained no strange odor as some furniture can have. He likes sitting on the top, and being a cat use to the outdoors for so many months, find any litter box a place to hide. If you keep the upper high sides on the box it will be a tighter fit, yet easy to turn slightly to pull out and clean. The litter box small open area was a place that I felt Charlie would be able to seek a haven when someone comes to visit as he is not a socialized cat. I purchased this with the suggested litter box and the mats. The litter box has the higher side attachment and good especially for the male cat that he is. He also covers all his matter deeply so with the higher sides it helps to keep the litter contained and not overflow unto the floor inside, plus (so far) keep the urine from dripping unto the product. The matts are thicker and better at trapping litter from the previous similar matts that I have purchased. So far I have seen much less litter on the floor outside of the box and have yet to decide if I will add a matt at the entrance. The whole idea is to disguise the box completely and it does just that. with less sweeping of the floor when I clean the box. The one question I had, which the manufacture answered, was the formaldehyde that holds the MDF material together and its rating. They stated is is a 0.068, which if I remember correctly it should be below 0.11. I like this box and look to purchase a similar ones – yet smaller- for our inside cats litter boxes that we have. To me I found it be a very attractive piece of furniture. I did not get the matt pad for the top which would have been a great addition to the whole kit. I am able to sew one and was looking for something to match the cabin – fishing décor of our sunroom. I may change my mind later as the cost of fabric, like everything else these days, has increased more that I had anticipated. Hope you find this information helpful.

Sturdy, Nice Looking Litter Enclosure
Overall, I’m happy with this litter enclosure. We have jumbo, covered litter boxes (they VERY big) and this enclosure holds them nicely. We’ve only had it for about a week, but it appears very sturdy. It was not difficult to put together, but I don’t know if it would have been possible to assemble alone. Adding the hinges and top piece basically requires two people. The one downfall is just the typical for this type of furniture – it’s cheap, partical board material. One of our pieces was chipped, but thankfully it was the back piece, so it’s not visible. The top/lid is dented in one corner. The holes are slightly off as well, so sometimes it takes a bit of effort to get the screws in place. Also, the doors don’t sit level and there is no way to adjust this. This is the biggest issue for me, as it would be nice to be able to fix that. Overall, I like it enough that I ordered another for our second litter box and I would recommend this enclosure.

Well worth it!
Very happy with this purchase! Needed my catâs litter box covered so our dogs couldnât get to it. Makes fora good place to put supplies on top as well. My catâs litter box is pretty big and fit perfectly, I decided to not put the divider in and put her smaller litter mat underneath where the entrance was. Overall it took me less than an hour to assemble by myself and is durable, easy to clean, and functions well in our space.

This enclosure was thee perfect height for my tall covered cat litter box. I canât remember the exact height of the litter box right now but just know, whatever it says in the description, is exactly how big my cat litter box is.Itâs pretty and functional tooNone of my cats were too afraid to go to their litter box in this.Now just to evaluate for odor containment.I did order some odor neutralizers to put in there as well. Will update later but for now⦠Iâm super happy and I am a pretty difficult person to impress easily.

Defective after Less than 2 Months
I purchased a Unipaws Top-Opening Cat Litter Box Enclosure, XL Extra LargeCat Box. After less than 2 months, the back, right hinge buckled, and now the lid wonât open properly and wonât close flush. One of the screws that goes into the center of that hinge is stripped. The buckle on the hinge is a perfectly straight line, so it appears the hinge was defective and after several openings of the lid, it buckled.Spending $163, I thought I was getting a quality product, but it is now more of a hazard than an asset. I’ve reached-out to Uni-paws to see if they will stand behind their product. Will update this review if I hear back.

Looks great, easy to put together, and is more sturdy than expected
Overall very impressed with this product. Now, its not pure hardwood, that would cost several hundred more dollars, but it is sturdy and pretty high value for the price. I like that you can choose the opening and the directions were easy to follow. I put this together in about 20 minutes. Now we don’t have a terrible litter box visible to guests!

IMPORTANT: This enclosure is really heavy in the box. The box is big. You definitely need help with this if you have stairs to climb and/or are petite in height. It was easy to assemble. All the parts and pieces were there. It was well packaged. I didn’t put the separator inside. I left it out. I have a large cat and she needs the most room possible. I let her get used to it before I made the complete switch. She loves it. I knew she was ready when she would sleep inside the EMPTY litter box. It is very sturdy and easy to move around on the floor. I love the fact it hides the litter box and I can use the top to put decorations or maybe a cushion. It is easy to clean. Power tools are not recommended or needed. Only a star head screwed driver and a bit of elbow greaseð¤ð .

Bought this as wanted something super discreet for my 4 year old British short hair Tinkerbelle and her 12 week old little brother Buddy. Was so impressed at how very easy this was to put together. The instructions are so straight forward and every piece and bag of screws etc were clearly marked by letters so there was no way you could go wrong. If only all DIY items came this way. Built this myself in just 30 minutes. You can choose which end the entry hole goes which is ideal and whether you want the in between doorway bit or not which is very handy if you have or need a larger litter tray. Very sturdy classy looking but of furniture that only you will ever know what it houses. Always had covered litter tray housed under a coffee table but this is fab and next level. As you can see cat loves sitting on it which is an added bonus and despite her grumpy face she does love it. The doors open easily on the front to make changing the litter very easy. I have put a deep litter tray in and a litter grabbing mat in the i between section which completely stop ms any litter spilling out. To begin with we are keeping one door open to allow the catâs to get used to it and for us to feel confident they are happy then we will close the door. Very impressed with it and the colour is lovely. Very well put together design and I feel it will definitely stand up to the test of time and my little fluff balls!!
